What wrong with change?
« on: June 08, 2008, 08:28:06 AM »
Hey, someone once told me 'the only thing constant in life, is change" I think the press and some indus. moguls have given GNR a bad wrap. I too am waiting to hear official tracks, but man is band is so on it 99.9 % of the time. The fresh guitars and drums really add a new musical depth to AXL's chops. I am so glad the band didn't go for the "stones" image of the same name, same game, ain't uh damm thing changed routine. (I like the Stone by the way. Late 70's to early 80's)

What are your current thoughts about Kurt Cobain?

Axl: I said I'm going on ChiDem now and he said whatever & walked away other than that I've been busy.

I was watching the old Tokyo concert the other day and Slash's solos were driving me crazy. During an interview he said that when he plays he never feels any emotion and his playing isn't directed towards love or women. It really shows in his playing, he just plays random stuff and sometimes it gives me a headache. On to my point... The new band is just so tight. When they play the songs they sound exactly like the cd. I love their style and the little things they add to the songs make them fresh. I agree that their is nothing wrong with change. I loved the old band so much, but now I wouldn't trade this band for anything.
If you don't like Chinese Democracy, please pull your head out of your ass and listen again!

yea well to your quote... who knows ... but depends on the standpoint. It can be the changing of GNR music that enlightens your constant way of living.. ie. work.. work.. sleep.. work...  but only then is their is a many thing changing.  If it be a powerful change... then it will remain constant.. like a high.. but for how long?  In the case of GNR it is a timeless high!

right on man! you are onto something...

Right! My life without GNR's music would be like an excellent movie with a shitty soundtrack...

Hey BP, you wrote work 3 times. It seems you need a vacation

For sure! GNR's ability to change your own persona and emotions from a single sound or action and make it relate in YOUR own life (with out chemical simulation ) is a offering on another plane! Being able to lift a person from a current mood or heighten their energy is pure gold. It only validates that what is going on here is huge.

no man... he is talking about an exact quote from Slash in an interview.  I always said fuck it and don't believe it....   and he said he is playing for a girl in the front row though.  I can't believe he isn't playing without emotion......   hmmm

Isn't it weird, the 2 best vodkas are french not russian?
I'd pick Ciroc  ;)
