^ Yeah. Even though it has been largely billed as a Buckethead song, I think it could be one of the songs that Bumblefoot recorded (or re-recorded) a part for (or partS for). That it isn't a "Robin song" may have been a factor in selecting it, if they plan on playing it live soon and don't have a commitment from Robin yet.

So would I, I honestly hope we will get to hear leaked demos of every song even after CD just to hear what we could have heard now.  And to see the differences and stages of the song's production.

Cmon really? Noone is going to re-record anything Buckethead has done, If anything they may add to it or something like that. Sorry I should of said I think this song is at least 4 years old because Bucket has not been in the band and from what I gathered from the RB2 people it is exceptional and very very different and original which leads me to believing its a Bucket song.

You can't really compare two completely different guitarists. But, if I had to, I'd choose Slash in a heartbeat. All of his playing is much more soulful and emotional than Bucket's. Bucket is more technical, and so is Bumble, but that technical mastery just doesn't do much for me. So, it really comes down to opinion as well. I love how Slash's solos mesh with each of the songs he plays on, while Bucket's and Bumble's will be more overwhelmingly precise than melodically in tune with the rest of the song.

Just my opinion though, and everyone will have their own.

actually, i would argue that buckethead puts more soul into his music than slash does. just listen to the album electric tears, or colma. those albums are full of really powerful emotional songs.

Considering Shackler's was originally part of a score for a movie that bucket worked on that was scrapped, it most likely is bucket. From the FAQ I read and something else I read Axl liked the plot of the movie and worked up some lyrics based on the movie foor the song.

I get the feeling Buckethead inspired a lot of new versions of songs and songs during his time with the group, I hope he comes back I think the only reason he wouldnt is because of frustration of nothing happening and just couldnt put himself through it again but once his shit comes out I think he will return and play all of his classic work on the albums live. Glad that his not coming back gave us bumblefoot too Im sure he has added some good stuff to the albums (still think buckethead should of been there finishing it up tho but its all good )
