Since I have read Chinese Democracy was started in 1994...Slash must have taken part in some of the orginal stuff. I know Axl writes most of the lyrics but I doubt he comes up with the music. I wonder where the music came from for alot of these new leaks if anyone happens to know?

Does the producer come up with it? Or is there a team of music experts who come up with the scores behind these songs?

id imagine Axl wrote it y himself, maybe just using drum loops and synth sounds combined with his vocals and lyrics...

it is the most important new gnr song in relation to the record because axl has said if he couldn't get the quotes then the song would not be used and the album will not exist

Not that I have a source for this, but I remember reading somewhere that Axl started writing/wrote this song like back in the mid-90's shortly after the band broke up, or even actually before they did break up.

The reason I ask is when you look at Britney Spears or the Backstreet Boys you will see most songs are credited to Max Martin.

I knew the boy and girl bands did not write their own music but wasn't sure whether they had written the lyrics....as it turns out they don't do anything but show up and sing what is handed to them.

I just hope people realize what talent it takes to create music and then add your own lyrics as well.

 a made a thread about a year? maybe more.... ago, about maddy being about the old band and it's break up, so that would make sense. Axl himself said at the hammerstein shows he wrote it about 14 yrs ago!

ive read that "no quotes, no album" thing before aswell.

AXL writes the music as well as lyrics, maybe in the begining stages of the song slash co-wrote but the final recording does not really sound like something slash would do.
