that's the best answer so far

 quote yourself?  I like Slash and Izzy together in the old days. But in the new era Ron wins.  I really wanna see GN'R with Slash, Izzy, and Ron.

Buckethead is great!  But he is not right for GN'R just like Dave Mustaine would not be the right vocalist The Beatals.  Dont get me wrong though I love Bucket as much as the next guy, and he is phenomenal on what bits of New GNR we have heard, but he just doesn't fit that raw and gritty rock and roll style.  Buckets work really shines, but GNR is a type of Rock that he usually doesn't venture into playing.  Bucket can be a hard person to understand (if you CAN understand him  :?: ) so it's his solo work where he really shows us his stlye.  A style that is not that straight up rock and roll that GNR is, but a style that can only be described as Bucketstyle, and that is what makes him special.

For GN'R:
IMO Ron is the better fit.

Solo:
Well it depends on what kind of music you want to hear.  I love buckets solo work, but I perfer BBF.

As it was fun to watch Buckethead who sucked ass at playing Slash's material.

Bucket rapes Slash in Nightrain,  Paradise City and played the exact same SCOM solo as he did.  really, any solo Slash played, Bucket played it better.

Well considering he changed them and when he did play the original he played them well, instead of being all over the place and making mistakes.
Scott will be joining GnR on air guitar. Fuelled primarily by heroin and aids.

Bucket, but Bumble is no hack. His style fits better than Buckets at times and vice versa.

Bumble has proven himself a capable player in GN'R except on the creative level. I'd like to hear what he
can do creatively moving forward. Obviously there's his solo stuff, but right now he is basically the Gilby of the new lineup. He can fill in, but didn't really do much in terms of creating the material with the band.

It's not a slight against him, I love his playing, but he has to live up to the GN'R standard. I look forward to his contributions on the album maybe there's a Bumblefoot song on there. Who knows.

Goodbye, Blue Sky......... Goodbye.
