I heard about buckethead before he joined GN'R I even heard about Brain before he joined GN'R (his work with Primus). You guys can't call the new members talentless. Buckethead is one of the best players in the world along with BBF. Brain is one of the top drummers in the world and his work with Primus was recognized before he left. Go look at his instructional vids, he is the Buckethead of drums. Everyone knew pittman, dizzy from their work with GN'R. Same with Tobias in the early 90's. Stinson I did not know of I'll give you that but regardless they are all very talented. Along with Finck/Fortus. To call them a Halloween band is atrocious. Do you know how much skill, intelligence and patience it takes to  play in a band like Guns N' Roses?

I also love how people like this guy who just posted sit here calling axl a "dick" "prick". Have you hung out with Axl in person? I bet not. You listen to all the media bullshit about how Axl is a dick, Axl beats his wife, Axl is a dictator and immediately assume its true. One thing you should never buy is the media. Most of it is bullshit. Look at all the close people to Axl and what they have said about him. They said he is a hard worker, somewhat quiet and likes to keep his life to himself. His personal life. Before Slash's book came out all I thoughtall  he did was do drugs and play guitar. Thats it. Because thats what the media perceived him to be. After reading it I realized how much more he was than just a druggie who played guitar for one of the biggest bands. If Axl was to write a biography I guarantee it would shock the entire fan base about what really happened with GN'R, the truth. We have heard Slash tell his tale but why not Axl? I'm personally a bigger fan of Slash but I have to defend Axl when people say bullshit about him just because of what they have heard in the media. And calling the new members talent-less or a "halloween band" is bullshit. If you were in Guns N' Roses right now would you want to be called that? I think a lot of people here have their heads up their ass.

And I know all of you like to say you shouldn't compare this to that but guess what.. people are going to compare Chinese D to Appetite because... its released under the same flag. Guns N' Roses.

So question.. what exactly has Axl done?  I'm still waiting.

Well.. I don't think these guys are talentlless. 

However, on Axl being a prick and a dick? No, I don't know the dude. I'm also sure he's really cool with his friends or the people who suck him off enough. Like Bach. So yeah.. Axl's a nice guy in that sense but you can't say that all the shit you hear about how he is.. his Modanna like attitude and his straight up spoiled child mentality just fucks him up. Like I said before... fame got to him.

What kind of shit is threatening not to go on stage? For whatever reasons aside safety concerns.

What kind of shit is forcing your boys into some business shit where they sign over everything they worked hard to build (the Gn'R name/legacy) to appease you?  What kind of person does that?

Axl wants to make HIS music and he's going to use the name Gn'R because in his mind he must really think its all about him. Its also MUCH easier to hold on to a name like that instead of having some REAL BALLS and making your own shit your own. Starting fresh so that you have no pressure and ALL the musical freedom in the world to do what you want.

But did he do that? No... why? I think it has a lot to do with how much $$$ the name Gn'R brings in when its on a ticket stub or a CD.

I like this guy. Even through his broken English you can tell what he's trying to say and he definitely has a point.
"Halloween Band" reminds me of that VMA medley they did. You heard "Guns N Fucking Roses" and you saw some crazy dudes (take nothing away from the talent of course) and you saw Axl in hip hop clothes and corn rows.

Axl is NOT Guns N' Roses.  Guns N' Roses was a band made of 5 people who created music bringing all of their collective talents together. Axl as the frontman of course got a LOT of spot light.. But NEVER forget that Slash was right up there with him as a figurehead of the band.

The fact that Axl turned into a real dick when he started riding in Limos as oppose to walking to a gig is what fucked this band up. The dude became a prick and then hid behind corporate goons pulling away from the friends he hung out with and made sick music with to sit on his throne of fame.

And ever since then, ever since his former friends and the dudes he fucking lived what made Gn'R famous had enough of him and left, Axl has done...

"Oh My God".

He's also made a mockery out of the name of the band that once seriously took over the world by FORCE.

hey my pal you're right! ...GNR had the fame that other bands didn't! ...they sold stadiums/domes/places out quickly around the world during UYI tour but something so wrong was happening to them all!

... maybe Geffen's as well to blame about it just 'cause GNR members honestly needed help those days, Geffen had to obligate them to see a good psychologist to cure their junkie minds but Geffen just took their money and talent away while the band was dying scarily in front of the media! 

...Axl has scary mental problems; the rest of the band was drowning in drugs and wild sex without understanding that they will have to pay for later!
... They all thought they could reach new highs once again (even though the band was destroyed already in 1994) but they were wrong totally because the internet and record companies made them understand that celebrities could be LORDS only for few years, not that long....!

When Axl came back in 2001 u.s.a didn't know who the hell was GNR really! And do you all know why? 'cause Ricky Martin and Christina Aguilera were selling stadiums out there already, Eminem was kicking asses over there and Britney Spears tried to sing with Shakira too so what was axl's plan to play with THE NEW GNR that time? well, they had to play in Las Vegas in a little theater to make sure that NEW GNR tickets could be sold those days,sadly!

...they later played in Rock in Rio 2001 'cause a lot of amazing bands like Iron Maiden were there to fill the place but why didn't NEW GNR continue selling tickets out? well it's just 'cause GNR left fans all alone in 1994 when no one knew what the fuck was happing!, we were better off left behind by Axl himself, I'm wrong about it,guys? so that was the expensive price that axl had to pay when he TRIED to be a ROCK STAR  again!...someone might say i'm wrong about ?

the REAL guns did not include slash. most of appetite was written before slash came along most of it was written before guns even formed by hollywood rose so who are we to say who the real guns are. pehaps appetite shouldnt have been released under the guns name the only true guns n roses record are the UYI. appetite was mainly axl and izzy and spaghetti incident were covers
maybe the first slash's snakepit album shouldve been released under the name guns n roses as that had slash, duff, matt, gilby and dizzy on it. no you would be against that because axl isnt on that record same if VR kept the GnR name.  axl IS guns and tracks like catcher in the rye and the blues prove that
