He aint exacatly delusional his best friend from like childhood did fucking leave him high and dry in a way back then, I mean Slash even in his own autobiography admits it. He just takes the easy way out by saying he was also a junkie messed up and not thinking straight at the time as well and the band tried to help him as much they could. At least they have some sort of relationship now though.
