Ok now that Ive waded thru everything in here.. I have friends from all walks of life, heterosexual, bisexual, homosexual, transgender, transsexual... each one is unique in their own way and brings their own special meaning to my life and I love them for it, they make me a better person... Am I bisexual or homosexual... I dont consider myself to be... however Im not adverse to kissing my girfriends, playful groping or sleeping in the same bed and I find beauty and comfort in the people I allow into my life... And dammit some of my girlfriends are damn hot... I am secure enough in myself to be able to say that.

Im not going into politics because in my mind who a person loves or what they do in their life shouldnt be a political matter... and Im not going into religion becasue honestly everyone is entitled to their own religous beliefs or lack thereof...

What I do say though is... let whomever wants to be married be married, in the end it all comes out in the wash and they can either live happily in their married lives or be miserable in them.  Ones sexual orientation should not preclude them from the basic things in life... love is neither political or religious, its a feeling an emotion and no one has any right to stifle how another thinks or feels.  If you choose to think that way go to a communist country and be told everyday of your life how you are going to live it.
I'm dying to catch my breath, oh why don't I ever learn, I've lost all my trust, though I have surely tried to turn it around... can you still see the heart of me?

Someone explain to me what the difference is between a civil union and marriage in America, please. Or are homosexual couples pushing for civil unions?

Why do they want the church to recognize them at all? How can they even expect that?

so because you are homosexual rather than heterosexual you have no right to believe in God? or have no right to want to have your marriage sanctified in a house of God?

Civil unions are not recognized by the federal government, nor are individual states forced to recognize a civil union granted in another state. Few states allow civil unions and those which do offer vastly different associated rights. Many states have outright bans against same-sex civil unions.

You can believe in God all you want if you're gay but whats the point of that? Gods made it pretty clear that you're damned if you fuck up on that law so.. do they really expect churches to accept them and their lifestyle which goes against the churches doctrine?

And NO. You do NOT have the right to sanctify your bullshit gay wedding in the house of God. Thats blaspheme right there.

These guys are more retarded than I thought. And I hate it that everyone needs for everything they do to be socially acceptable to everyone else. Fuck that.

Note; A marriage doesn't have to have anything to do with religion. A frigging county clerk can "marry" you in a couple of seconds.

Tis cool you have your opinion, please quote for me the passages within the new and old testament where being homosexual is a sin... see I already know where they are, but I would like to see a direct quote from you to back up what you are saying, because here is the kicker... "judge not lest ye be judged" it is not your place to judge people if you believe that it is wrong based on the word of God, but your place to educate as to what the bible says about homosexuality... so let me ask you again... if it is a sin to be homosexual... please give me direct reference to it :)

Something else to ponder, seeing as research has all but proved homosexuality is not a choice but deteremined by genetics and the environment... if your perfect God created genetically imperfect humans and he has no call to say it is a sin to be one given that he created all humans... as well we know that the bible was not written by God himself but by those that choose to attempt to interpret the word of God based on stories of events that may or may not have happened in history... we all know humans are flawed creatures and we are taught that God loves us not matter what we do and all of our Sins can be forgiven...

There's nothing that says you can't believe in the "Christian" God or any other religious God you choose but, as you know and mentioned, most of the religious texts say homosexuality is wrong anyway so I don't understand why gay people would want anything to do with it.

Of course there's always the stupid idea of interpreting religious texts to your liking. Isn't religion grande?
