I'm starting to love it.

man there is no such thing as a bad song on this album, you just have to give it time, and that's something axl has had a lot of  :D

and that's the point of this album, it can't be digested in one listen. All the reviewers and casual fans who are bashing it after one listen are doing it a diservice

I must admit I'm not a fan of Brian May and think the solo is a big improvement.
One of my favorite tracks, lyrically it's one of Axls best, the biggest improvement is the staccato rhythms under the solo and outro.
And I hate songs that fade out, so the new outro piano is awesome

I can't understand the hating on this song, it's a great song that's just been made better! That final verse is arguably the best thing GNR past or present have ever done. My fave so far
A+

You've listened to coma and you have the audacity to say that. For shame.

As for Catcher... I like it. Definitely top half of the album. I plan on having both the finished catcher and the leak on my mp4 player. The leaked version kind of takes you away from the world and into this almost fantasy world while the finished version adds more of a punch of rock. Both are good.

I much prefer the leak version of this!! Why oh why were Brian May's parts excluded from the final version?!?!  :O
A decent enough song as it is, however it loses a lot of momentum compared to the leak. Which is a real pity!!  :(  :finger:

It's the favorite song of my girlfriend. She loves it. I like the ending "On a ordanary day ...." killer ending.

starting with "on an ordinary day" and on until the end of the song, you have what i would say is one of the best cupla minutes of the record.  Just great melodies both vocally and from the guitar soloing away.  it's just bliss at that point.  great song.  i personally love it although it would be aweosme to have a mastered version of the brian may solo like everyone else said, but i wouldn't hold my breath.

best on the album by a landslide.  i love with Ron and Robin did with Brian's solo.  sure, it sucks that Mr. May isn't on the album, but still.

That's a bold statement to make about a song on this album. Very good track. Like the changes. Am I the only one that thinks Axl's vocals are a bit low in the mix compared to some of the other songs?
Guns+Queen+Led Zeppelin= Chinese Democracy

Arguably the greatest Guns N' Roses Album

Yep, noticed that too.

I hated the demo for various reasons (way too slowly paced, etc.) but I like the final version much, much better.
It's got an modern edge but it still sounds like that simple "Meet the Beatles"-era track. The little piano tickles are great.

Goodbye, Blue Sky......... Goodbye.

This is a great song, it really feels like a classic GNR track, but also a new one. The only song that really mixes heavy and ballad together in a good way....other songs are heavy and good and others are ballad and good, but this one is the only one that mixes the two

I'm personally dissapointed with the finished version - it sounds too 'busy' particularly in the middle section

I agree!

I prefer the old leak...sounds a lot greater to me!

May's solo shouldn't have been left out...and the vocals were totally changed...and also the tempo was raised...thank God i never deleted the old leak 'cause that's the version i think i'll be listening to!

mod edit: taking too much space. keep it 1 line.
