Prostitute
Guns N' Roses

Seemed like forever and a day
if my intentions are misunderstood
please be kind
I've done all I should
I won't ask of you
what I would not do

Oh, I saw the damage in you
my fortunate one
the ending of you

Why would they tell me to please don't just laugh in my face
when all of the reasons they told us, fall over themselves to give way, oh yeah,
it's not a question whether my heart is true
still I, I had to pull through
look for a new beginning on you
ooh I got a message for you
open a way, It's what I've got to do
give what you have, for what you might lose

what would you say if I told you that I'm to blame
and what would you do if I had to deny your name
where would you go if I told you I love you and then walk away
Who should I tell if not if not for the ones that you could not say oh yeah
I told you when I found you
if there were doubts you should be careful and unafraid
now they surround you
all that amounts to is love that you crippled for fortune and fame

so if my affections are misunderstood
and you decide I'm up to no good
don't ask me to enjoy them just for you
ask yourself what I would do to prostitute, myself
to live with fortune and shame oh yeah
when you should have turned to the hearts of the ones that you would not say
I told you when I found you all that amounts to is love that you crippled, for fortune and fame

I've loved this song since the June leaks, but the final version just kills! It's incredible! The chorusy bits are pretty much just 16 bars of musical orgasm. I'm blown away.

a little anti-climatic knowing that it was prostitute, but still a great track.

The title should be better. "Message for you" for example..

It is another classical type of song. I love classical music because it has class. It truly is fire and ice.

I still cant listen the word prostitute in the song...he just doenst say, unless he has something in his mouth while he is saying it

But the word prostitute fits very well in the song. Its one of my favourites, i was blown away the fisrt time i listened to the final version in CD. It has classic written all over it!!!

This song is about your fuckin mother (thought i could use a line from live like a suicide to describe it)

jokes aside WOW
everything in this song is classic
from the sining down to the orchestra
possibble the most well recorded gnr song ever
and  i cant wait to see it pulled off live
All cautions made, every chance was given, no effort spared, to save what we had*

  I don't really hear it either but according to the book that's it
Anyway, I think this song is such a fantastic way to close out the album, fucking brilliant

Yeah, he says it. The "u" is really soft though, it's a weird pronunciation.

Ya im glad to not be the only person not to hear the word prostitute in the song!  I know its there but its hard to tell!   I like the title just because what he is talking about!

The song rocks!  and it seems like he put together the outro to the song knowing its going to be the last song on the album!!

I know alot of people were underwhelmed considering what we heard about this song from early on. I think it gets stronger with repeated listens. Just finishing the album on the myspace stream and I gotta say I'm fucking psyched to go through it again...and again.
