Fortus only plays on 5 CD tracks and doesnt take any solos. I think we can now say that he was recruited mostly for when the band plays the old material, as his style is more classic rock and better suited to those songs.

Not saying what he did play on CD wasn't a worthy contribution, but it is interesting to ponder

Fortus himself said in an interview that his work comes on albums that will follow CD!
I'm really looking forward to it, caus he's my favourite guitarist :D

With Chinese Democracy, we didn't get a 'new' album. What we ended up with is pretty much what we were always supposed to have. Axl didn't spend all these years working on different albums under the name 'Chinese Democracy' changing parts and adding new songs as time passed and people came and went.

Apart from 'Shacklers Revenge' 'Better' and maybe 'Sorry' the album was written in the 90's when Tobias was heavily involved and Fortus wasn't on the scene, so it makes sense that Tobias feature heavily on this album, but Fortus to be a lot more involved with future albums.

Fortus will have a massive contribution on the album follow ups. We already know hes been writing songs for the album (Motormouth) so I expect him to major influence on one of the albums post CD.

that song is fake.

Richard is the best guitarist this band has ever seen. Looking forward to the follow up albums. This one is okay but I am expecting more in the future.

don't care, how he work with Rihanna , you can say that he is just a session musican to play with the band live. We haven't heard from Axl, noone ever talked about Tobias, so he could be as well a studio member and his contributions are as big on CD as on follow-ups. He is propably great friend of Axl, person who understand him a lot, and he can still produce music with him, maybe he just hates touring.
He is co-writer of many amazing songs.
I love Richard Fortus but his work on Chinese Democracy is almost non-existent.
Also noone knows which songs will end up on follow ups, possibly many of them written in the times of Tobias and Buckethead ( for example talking Rolling Stone article back in 1999 or something ) - "Oklahoma" , "Seven", "Atlas Shurgged" , "Silkworms" , "No Love Remains/Checkmate(MSL confirmed it was old demo)" so it makes like few songs and some of them confirmed to be made before Fortus joined band. Maybe he will get one song written by himself and Bumblefoot would get few songs, But if next albums happen I am sure 7-10 tracks would work from Tobias and/or Buckethead all over it.

yea, kick out robin who can actually play and solo and replace with Rom who just plays random notes in all the solos that sound terrible & the same, I mean, can he not learn the solo?

I agree here Robin's solos are awesome "Better", "Street of Dreams" "This I Love" "Catcher in the Rye", "There Was A Time"  and rest of solos are also really good.
on the other hand Ron's add-ons to some songs give it really nice feel and are mindblowing but solos suck , I love Ron he is so awesome on stage, and even more awesome off stage but he solos are biggest letdown for me on the album. "Schackler's Revenge" is great, it fits the songs and sounds insane, "Catcher in the Rye" main solo is fucked up it fits the song but May's version was much more emotional and soulfull, on the other hadn wahtever part he plays in outro is kick ass , Rhiad cuts the air nicely and looks like great solo, but second part is bad and those Star Wars/Si-Fi pistol sound in the end is really bad (Buckethead solo wasn't the best but was better as a whole), "Scraped"  whatever he plays is great, I dig whole solo as one of the best on album and doesn't care which part is who.
As I said he was great guy to take some songs up few levels with his play, but solos overally are Big letdown and doesn't give him justice.
I am sure Buckethead would make better job with "Catcher in the Rye", but his work on Rhiad wasn't worse or better than Ron's.
