That pretty much summed it up. I proverbially strolled by, saw Chinese Democracy lying around and bought it.
It's as simple as that -- actually I went to the DVD section before, checking for Shine A Light, since there was
like a pile of copies and I wasn't exactly terrified of not getting the chance to acquire one.

I still randomly purchase copies of the album and the promo of the title track, to give 'em away to friends.
At least that's what I claim. Actually I purchase them out of sheer boredom and THEN give it away to anyone  :lol:

It's still the best album for me (I've got the vinyl under glass in my living room), but there's no hype about it...
