Funny how before the release of the album the majority on this board stumbled over each other making predictions on how GnR would be on top of the world again and how big sales were going to be. Now it seems the album has got a fast one way ticket out of the charts and pretty much everybody is making all sorts of comments like "but its all about the music I care about" and "I don't give a fuck about sales" etc etc.

Be honest, its disappointing to see that the main public isn't really into the new (direction of the) band and CD probably will be forgotten by the majority of the people within a couple of months.  :(

You forgot something! Maybe is disappointing for someone...but real GNR fans will never forget Chi Dem...dont give a damm about majority of people. You can is say it will drop out of 10 in any f...chart. But u cant take music from us.

As a rule I don't think we care about sales, the charts are a nonsense over here in the UK. I mean, this week's number one was being sold for £3 less than the number 2 in supermarkets. If Chinese Democracy had been going for £5.88 on its first week, things might have been different. Why we care about Chinese Democracy's sales is because we're all anxious for the future. It affects our chances of seeing further GNR releases, or possibly even hearing a single word from Axl in any capacity ever again.

Either way, it's a shame as I think the album as a body of work deserves better.

We also hate the sales figures because Axl is our idol and we're getting tired of seeing second-class journalists get off throwing bad jokes in his direction about this supposed flop. I don't care about sales, but the "ha, your stoopid album wasnt worth a dime, now stop with your bad music and selfish behaviour and shut up"-kinda guys are REALLY annoying me :tear:

Come on Guys, this album is going to sell 1 million plus copies worldwide with no promotion at all. Not bad. Mr. Rose obviously was against releasing the disc at this date and time. To bad because it is the best rock album that has been put out in the last 10 years. T
