When there was issues yesterday....  I had to kill the chat with an icepick .... but it wasn't the chat that hurt server performance.

Turns out that there was actually somebody throwing a DDOS attack at us. We located some evidence ... firewalled it... tweaked it....  and is fine now.  There is an investigation to follow.
