The other's having a sense of entitlement to the name isn't completely off but has more to do with how Slash dealt with things and his particular strategy and I say strategy because that's what it's been. But since I managed to hold out that didn't play out so well for him in regard to the name.

I think this might have been a response to my question over there, because I am the only one to refer to entitlement.

What I am getting out of this is that there was some sense of entitlement by past members - but it was more of Slash playing games (manipulation).

dunno bout anyone else, but i always keep justifying calling this GNR. ive drummed it into myself hoping my reasons for sticking by my fav band with 90% new members was valid.

now i feel like i dont need to validate it anymore by saying "slash left, wud axl throw his hard work away" and "the msuic is great"... Axl just validated it all for me.

i dont need to justify loving this incarnation. this IS Guns N' F'k'n Roses!!!

Yeah, I came to terms with Axl keeping the name a long time ago. I haven't cared about this issue for the longest time, it's too bad there are so many still hung up on it. I follow and support the other guys, but am 100x more interested in the current incarnation of GNR than all the others combined.

Axl is amazing!!!! I think what they did in the past is a huge accomplishment and would be nice to look back on some day but boys and girls for now Guns N fuckin Roses has alot of beautiful fuckin music left in their veins!!!!!!
