i've probably watched that behind the music episode at least 50 times, it's on my ipod...you have to take it with a grain of salt though because, if you'll notice, axl isn't interviewed like slash was so therefore you are given a one sided view. i love the old gn'r members to death, if i didn't i wouldn't have bothered listening to guns back in the day and in turn wouldn't be listening to them now as well as buying all of the other side projects that every former and current member has done. i think both sides (slash and axl) are at fault to some degree, but seeing as how axl has been so hurt by what happened with the old band all these years while slash has happily moved on seems rather odd if simply getting rid of everyone what axl wanted all along, doesn't it?
NO, IT DOESNT!
...slash at least showed his face to us all some many times before (while axl went away), he did hide away from us, no one honestly understood why GNR died those days, the internet didn't exist just to speak about the real reason to destroy the best rock band ever, axl didn't even care about speaking to the u.s.a media to explain the death of GNR but in 1998 when the lack of money started to knock axl out then the guy suddenly had another nice idea: re-make gnr!

so can you notice why Mr Rose didn't admit to speak with behind the music in 2004? it's just because the old lineup means true rock n' roll, they're true musicians and the new band just means "LET'S PLAY CUZ NO MONEY NOW" ....
