so we all know by now that Slash, Duff and Matt tend to distort and gain public appearances at GNR's name cost.

They say its not GNR cause its not all the original members bla bla bla... and that axl thinks its his solo project ect...

But what is Velvet Revolver without Scott Weiland???

I mean.... if we follow Slash's thinking.... VR is not VR anymore without Scott, so... they should just change the name of the band cause its not right to use Velvet Revolver's name.. its not VR anymore...

Like i usually say.. What goes around... comes around!

What Slash, Duff and Matt criticized Axl about all this years....its happening now by the same guys doing it...

It is true though, I thought about that when Weiland left. But its Slash he gets away with everything cause he was on guitar hero.

i don't agree with you.

Axl is the ONLY one who IS in GNR.

Scott is the ONLY one who IS NOT in VR.

it's kinda 1/5 of a band is less then half of if it.

while 4/5 is still in VR.

Simple math. Scott was never a read draw for them anyway.
With Gn'R you always went to see at least Axl and Slash.

not truth! Scott was the most important member in the band. he's the voice of the band after all.

Theres only 2 bands where the guitar players are the most important members and thats Van Halen and AC/DC.. and its ridiculous! The singer is always the most important guy in the band.

VR is not VR without Scott. The voice changes... so its like a whole new band...

As for Slash... saying that slash was as important as Axl in Gnr its overrated...

Guns N'roses ended in Farm aid, VR ended in Ireland! Same thing. I don't care how many members left and how many stood in the band... its just not the same... Its not VR anymore because it will sound completely different than VR.

Same with Motley Crue not being Motley crue with Corabi instead of Vince or the girl instead of tommy... same thing

VR was not known because of scott. it was known because slash, duff & matt were back together. Slash was equal to axl in his days in gnr (IMO) and MUCH more importand then scott in VR.

and Black Sabbath was about the guitarist too. tony iommi IS sabbath. sabbath still existed (and was still good) after ozzy left, and what about Ted Nugent Band? where the guitarist's name was Ted Nugent? or Frank Zappa? or Jeff Beck?

WAKE UP. the singers AREN'T the band. why do you think so most GNR fans from the 80s & 90s (not me) are angry towards Axl for keep using GNR's name? it's because to them, Slash was just as importand as Axl.

scott was good singer and an all right lyricist but he was not what most people who liked VR, liked about VR.

Correct me if I'm wrong, because I usually am, but didn't Slash say right after they kicked Scott out that they'd change the name of the band?

And yeah, in Slash's book (atleast I think it was that one, I read a few GNR books around the same time) it said that Axl and Slash both had 50 percent of the desicion making, with Duff as the tie breaker if they didn't agree. That was for the later years of GNR without Steven and Izzy BTW.

must have been in some of the other books, i just finnished reading slash's book (it's the only gnr book i'm interested in reading cause it's the only one who was written by someone creditable) but, it makes sense, slash and axl were literally the only two members that ALL the people who attended GNR shows went to see, but duff was original so of course he had a little say.

Vr's style of music was closer to what stone temple pilots were than GNR... With that said, u can really see how Scott had a huge influence on the band.

Its sad to see some GNR fans are far from being imparcial...

Especially Contraband.. looked like an STP album with a GNR band behind. The direction was clearly influenced by scott!

Actually.. a lot of people say that Contraband was more GnR while Libertad was more STP. Contraband was hard rocking and everyone seemed to like it. It was classic stuff.

Libertad was where VR went wrong and it showed with the sales.

Hopefully Slash, Duff and Matt stick to doing what they do best.

They're known for Gn'R for some odd reason huh? Maybe its because they're 2/5 or 3/5 of what made that band rock.

I really wanna hear the stuff VR were doing when it was Slash, Duff, Izzy and Matt where Izzy and Duff shared vocals. I've always thought that they should have just stayed with that lineup. To my knowledge, Duff and Izzy were in support of the idea, but Slash likes having a designated front man, so they didn't end up doing it.

yeah that's izzy's theory, that he suggested it, and duff liked the idea but slash didn't.

yeah, I think he is better suited to The Cult and VR than he was to GNR, not to say that he didnt do a good job or anything though.
