maybe 'cause u.s.a people are  now smart to spend money on good things these days when their money isn't easy to get?

...I really know that every british celebrity uses an marketing to rule the u.s.a society

...that's why The Beatles and U.2 knew how to be rich at taking away million dollars from u.s.a  :phrozen:

....so u.s.a can produce tecnology but they're not that good to make true rock stars!...God bless U.K!

...do you have another stupid question?

well i can't argue with your point about the beatles and u2 since i love them both, and also that every british celebrity uses marketing, that's a pretty obvious fact that you'd have to be a retard to not know...so i guess my only stupid question is do you truly not like any american artists?  bob dylan, the doors, gn'r of course, others i'm not going to take the time to name because your not going to listen to what i have to say anyway so there's no point... ;)

This whole drone re: who has the talent, and who wronged who ... short of being an artist, or an entertainer, or a rock/cock god, every single member of GNFR, past & present, are people - people vibing off each other, and let's face it, sometimes it just doesn't work out as circumstances evolve.

Every relationship that breaks down does so because people change.  Who is doing the diagnosing provides all the perspective you need on who's going to turn out to be the cause.  Do you really think if Izzy, Slash, Duff, Axl, and Adler were still together, an album would have been put out that sounds like AFD?  Come on ... people change.  Let's say NuGuns hung around 13 years with no change in the LU.  Would the new material sound like CD?

When it comes to assessing blame, just remember that there's always going to be at least 2 extremes to run to, and somewhere in the middle is going to be where the truth lies.  No pun intended.  Society is a game that eats it's players, and to each his own, a tooth.

Well, I ain't drinking the koolaid.  I like CD because it's a good album.  Everything else is irrelevant.  What happened 13 years ago is as irrelevant as all of this hoopla will be in another 13.

...evey smart celebrity uses a good marketing but NEW GNR doesn't sadly!

...i do like u.s.a artists but it doesn't mean that i should like NEW GNR today, they're not artists for real but the original lineup rules still in our hearts!

alright i can agree on new guns not using marketing effectively

you don't have to like new gnr, though i'm not sure why you're posting in a section made specifically for them if that's the case.  you're perfectly entitled to your opinion if you prefer the old lineup.  that said, new guns are, in fact, "real" artists though...to say otherwise is absurd

i'm gonna be honest i don't even remember what the original point i was trying to argue is anymore...this has been dragged out far too long...so i'm just gonna summarize my thoughts and move on from this mindfuck of a topic: the current lineup is not a money machine, but that doesn't make them bad musically...the beatles were popular because they were awesome and became increasingly more awesome with time which led to a lot of publicity through their careers...being sexy/cute does not make you a good artist (not saying that phil collins isn't, because he's awesome, but saying he's attractive means jack shit in this argument)...that's about it, el fin

It took 13 years for completing this album. Almost one year per song. I can not stop listening to them. I wonder how much it will take me to absorb the album. As I see things now, probably 14 months. One month per song. After that, I think they will live in my heart for ever, like Appetite does. The music, after leaving its creator it has a life of its own. It lives inside the welcoming souls. To evolve them and be evolved by them. After listening to a song, I am different and each time I hear to the song, this is different. Short lived incarnations of myself and of the song are generated while listening, to mate. Now the creator can not even affect all these various incarnations that are spreading around the world. But he did whatever it was needed for 13 years, in order to provide the ferment. I am glad he did it like this. Only the music matters, since only the music keeps living. Everything else is forgotten at the first riffle. I just would like the say thanks.

I can not see the point making a distinction between American and non-American artists and I do not want to spend one more second trying to. I am not American anyway. Also I do not care about marketing or any other intermediates in any field, not only music. I like to believe that only a productive work can attract my attention. Intermediate's added value most probably will turn me away. And to be honest sometimes Axl's style and attitude I think that can be considered flashy and could turn me away from attending a live show for example. So, marketing's job is finished the moment we can find the CD at the store, hear the music at the Internet and maybe also at the radio. But what any of these have to do with sharing thoughts about whether the wait was worthy or not? I tell you that the wait may add value to a great outcome and I believe this is our case with the new album. But even the initial question is probably wayward. In 1492 Columbus went to America, while in 1969 Armstrong put foot on moon. Does it worth the wait? Off course it does, since there is not any garantee that evolution will actualy find its way. Every time that it does, is a surprise. And towards which direction evolution will happen? It is an ongoing labor. You do not know to whom the child will look alike and which way it will follow afterwards. I like ChineseDemocracy's way though...
