RollingStone.com conducted a brief interview with bassist Duff McKagan (VELVET REVOLVER, DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED, ex-GUNS N' ROSES) last week. A couple of excerpts follow below.

On a possible GUNS N' ROSES reunion:

"People ask me that all the time. I certainly don't sit here and go, 'God, I wish that's going to happen.' I don't even know what's going to happen in four weeks from now in my life so I'm not going to be one of those guys who's like, 'Fuck that, that'll never happen.' It could very well happen. It would have to be right and it would have to be righteous for everybody and for the fans and it would have to be like a kick-ass thing or it would just kind of be sour, I think... I mean, I love Axl [Rose]. We've been through a lot of shit together and shit nobody can take away from us no matter what people try to make of a squabble."

On former GUNS N' ROSES drummer Steven Adler taking part in the VH1 "reality" shows "Celebrity Rehab" and "Sober House":

"I watched about four minutes... somebody said, 'Dude, you got to watch this thing.' It was too hard for me to watch. My stomach started getting queasy and I couldn't watch it. It seems a little dirty, the whole deal. I know the Dr. Drew guy, and he is a strong member of the sober community and he's helped a lot of people and I think his thing is, 'Hey man, if one person can get sober out of this whole experience... great.' I'll put it this way: if I was still using, I would never go on that show. I don't get it. I just don't like reality TV."

1. I guess he didn't read what Axl had to say about a reunion
2. I totally agree, I find those sober house/ celebrity rehab shows absolutely disgusting

Duff is such a cutie... I remember one time trying to find Axl ..
My friend saw Duff in 3 Rivers after the show and my friend asked
"Where is Axl" and Duff replied " I am going to make t-shirts
"I don't know where Axl is"

i actually think that what Duff said makes more sense.

i mean, how does Axl know now in 2009, that they (he & Slash) wont sort things out in maybe 10 years?

what Duff said was basicly "i can not see in the future, so i have no idea if we'll reunite or not" and that is true with everyone.

This is cool, Duff's a class act, but there still wont be a renunion. Maybe a song with Axl and Duff but not a reunion.

heres what I know, Both Izzy and Duff had basically stated in interviews they would be up for a reunion, or at the very least to do a few shows together. The only two members who wouldn't be likely are Slash and Matt Sorum, who we all know does what Slash tells him to

Izzy has already done a few guest songs with Axl Rose on the 2006 tour, and even when Izzy orginally quit he and Axl remained good friends and Duff was always Pro Axl. So I could see a Axl Rose/Duff Mckagan/Izzy Stradlin reunion, but not the whole one. But that would be an awesome show for sure

J.C. - Is there any chance you'll work with the former members of Guns N' Roses in the future?

AXL - I could see doing a song or so on the side with Izzy [Stradlin] or having him out [on tour] again. I'm not so comfortable with doing anything having more than one of the alumni. Maybe something with Duff [McKagan], but that's it, and not something I'd have to really get down into, as I'd get left with sorting it out and then blamed on top of it. So, no, not me.

no. they didn't talk to each other from '93 to early '06. Izzy stated that in his '08 interview. Slash has said that he would do one-show reunion FOR THE FANS. and Matt isn't original (he was not an founding member, and he was not the first official drummer either)

and i've always thought Matt followed Duff more then Slash.

I know they hadn't really talked, but Izzy and Duff had both said they still had good feelings for Axl. And I know Matt wasn't the orginal, I just doubt Steven could keep up like he used to

Adler is still a kick-ass drummer. but the only new videos you'll find have shitty quality.

I think I want Steven Back. He is fan friendly and unlike Sorum he isn't a jackass. Thanks for a vid I know I watched him doing Mr. Brownstone on youtube and thought he was still good, but wasn't sure about stuff like endurance.

i've always liked Steven better then Matt.

i think that unlike Slash/Duff/Izzy; Steven would not have quit. and i'll admit it eight here and now that i would pay much more money to attend Guns show on the next tour, if Adler was drumming, then if Brain/Frank was drumming.

I will agree with that, I like both Brain and Frank, but Steven is a great person and a great drummer. In the same tense I like Tommy Stinson, but I would absolutly love it if Duff rejoined. It would be nice to have some backup vocals lol
