Chinese Democracy is too emotional and too personal. It's about Axl overall. And I strongly believe he did it for himself in first place, then to keep the legacy of GnR alive - following what has always been his vision of the band. Then, at last, to make art and in someway contribute to the world. CD's social impact probability is smaller than its possible personal life influences though.
I agree that Axl didn't make it for money. Wasn't a purpose but it's a consequence. CD costed 13 million so they have to make money to pay for it, anyway.
i'm scared about it, u.s.a people don't have money to eat these days so i highly doubt that C.D can be a soldout like UYI albums....sad but true guys!
