I didn't care for TDKR

It was the first comic I ever bought and probably the first one I ever loved. I'm a bit surprised you don't like it

huh?

Clint Eastwood ten years ago would have been so perfect for TDKR Batman

heh

and true. Now that's Clint's retired, there's really no sense in making a TDKR adaptation

Surely you're not serious about Eastwood playing Batman? Sure he's badass, but during TDKR Batman's 50, Eastwood's now 70 something, wouldn't fit. But I've heard Snyder's considering Sly Stallone to play the part, read it on Rottentomatoes.com

Back on topic-So far the reviews for watchmen are..... pretty average, I feel let down

Once you realize what a joke everything is, being the Comedian is the only thing that makes sense.

Stallone? Snyder's fucking insane, and it's starting to increasingly look like he dropped the ball with this adaptation after all

Meh, it'll still be ok. The film will probably be pretty damn good if you appreciate the novel. Most of the negative reviews have been from people who just don't "get" the material. Just don't be expecting it to hit the heights of TDK

we need a few more reviews to be sure. It's early days yet.

It'll still end up being a good film. Just flawed due to the flaws most people knew would be involved in adapting a text so dense

Don't know what ya'll are talking about. If anyone except Nolan makes a Batman "3" it will be a disaster.
Still don't even think another one should be made. Very few third flicks are good enough to warrant another chapter..

But regardless, Nolan has the directors' spot anyway. Don't know why you're talking about Snyder....

Goodbye, Blue Sky......... Goodbye.

Saying this because of the Frank Miller movie Zack did being 300. With Watchmen he is yet doing another dark graphic novel movie. The Dark Knight Returns is a dark graphic novel if you have read it yet.

So?

Batman Begins is largely based off of "Batman: Year One" and The Dark Knight has shades of other of Frank Miller's work, that doesn't mean just because someone did a Frank Miller graphic novel into a movie means they'll do Batman 3.

By that logic then Robert Rodriguez is in the running because he did Sin City. It doesn't work like that in Hollywood. They just don't ditch you because you're taking some time off to do another movie. Nolan is #1 on the next picture and if he decides not to do it after Inception, then WB will find someone else. Not before. And they sure as hell won't be casting. Nothing but a bunch of dumb rumors.

Goodbye, Blue Sky......... Goodbye.

apparently Synder is WB's choice for director if Nolan decides to drop out (not that that would happen)
