The fact that they support nuking Israel is what I'm basing the "evil" thing on. Woundn't you consider it bad to bomb a country you're not even at war with just because of racism and religious nonsense?

Here comes the bit where we ask for sources on this again...We all know their president is a complete nut job, a holocaust denier, a hater of all things zionist and most things western, but never have they called for the destruction of Israel.  Their supreme leader, who actually holds all the power after all, has issued a fatwa saying nuclear weapons go against the principles of Islam (not that this necessarily means they'll stick to that pronunciation of course, but nor does it mean that they're actively hoping to annihilate another country), both him and Ahmadinejad say they have no plans ever to attack Israel because they believe the state will eventually collapse on its own without the need for intervention from the Iranian people.  The one statement used to justify this position over and over again is the translation of a speech by president Ahmadinejad which quoted him as saying Israel should be wiped from the map.  Now this phrase doesn't actually exist in Farsi and apparently the closest literal translation of what he said was along the lines of him wanting the regime occupying Israel to be erased from the pages of time, i.e. the collapse of what he sees as an illegal occupying zionist regime.

I agree 100% that Iran shouldn't have nuclear weapons and that if they were ever to try to blow the shit out of Israel they'd have to know that we'd take action against them to prevent that.  I do think that it's scaremongering designed to fan the flames of your own argument however to state categorically that this is what they're trying to do.

Like I said I can provide a list of quotes from the 2 most powerful people in the Iranian government saying they don't intend ever to attack Israel, can you find me a quote from either of them saying the opposite?

The problem is no other 'insert relevance here' group that wanted nukes 9/11'd the most powerful country on earth at the time.

The Russians would of given them nukes, the Pakistanis would of given them nukes a long time ago as two examples off the top of my head if they could be trusted.

Even the height of the Cold War Cuban Missle Crisis the Russians and USA where on the phone to each other constantly, then you get this Iranian geezer brushing the USA off constantly with a bad attitude even when they no they fucked up and want to put things right.

We should just let them go on with their nuclear programs with out restricting them and see what happens when they finally get those missiles that can reach Israel and beyond.
