I supported him as a member and wanted on many occassion him back, but he behaved in unprofessional way, he sounds good on the record but his solos are good but nothing spectacular kinda like Slash solos from lesser songs by Gn'R they were good in parts very good but not memorable, "This I Love" is fuckin' great, solo owns, but one great solo in 10years ? And what songwriter he is , Buckethead had much more impact in less time as a songwriter.
Great... I have no words...
I'm not saying Slash wrote it, but I won't be surprised if he contributed in one way or another many years ago. This song and its solo just sound original GN'R, and I think it's the only song on ChiDem that has this particular feeling and sound and it's really different than all the other new songs.
Think he was thanking you dude.
Slash's influence over the song can't be heard because he said fuck that and wrote some crappy songs for Snake Pit... I would say that Paul Tobias would have had more influence over the song than what Slash did...
Slash went to Snakepit because NOTHING was happening with Guns and he was sick of sitting home doing nothing.and about "crappy": you don't like bluesy rock n roll then? Axl would have owned many of those songs just like TIL would be MORE like Novemvber Rain and Estranged with Slash's feel, playing.
I love it, it is just basically Slash didn't want to do songs like that.
I don't know... I remember Duff & Slash (and maybe Axl too, if I remember correctly) said in '94 or '95 in a rare interview that they had over one complete album of new material and almost ready to be released.I really doubt this material became Slash's Snakepit songs otherwise Axl wouldn't have agreed with the 'almost ready to be released' thing What became of those songs ? Does anyone know ?I have the feeling that 'The Blues' and 'Madagascar' slowly started to see the light of day during this period too. Anyway, it's just a feeling... Who really knows ?
like he said "no other guitarist seems to be able to do these riffs like the way they're supposed to" or something like that.
Slash who? I thought I'm at GNR NEWS board, not WE LIVE IN 1980's
