I hate how everybody seems to think the former band members are Axl's biggest problem. He has a lot more to write about than Slash.
I would find it boring if he wrote a bunch of songs about hating Slash.... I would much rather listen to music I can connect to like some love songs or something with real emotion rather than some throwaway crap about Slash. I think the second(?) verse of Sorry is about Slash, right after the Slash like guitar solo... the begining seems to be about the media
right now I feel like retiring from music-business.

NO NEW SONG FOR HER,trust me!" At least Shackler's Revenge and Sorry are obviously about the ex-bandmates, but there's no doubt that some of the songs are directed to Stephanie Seymor (or more specifically to her son). Haven't you read the Axl interview from 2000? Here's a quote: "Having stayed publicly silent so long, Rose appears to view the album as a final offering-up of his side of all his myriad battles - notably with his estranged band mates and, even more painful, with his one time fiancee, supermodel Stephanie Seymour, with whom he had an ugly split. He speaks of his desire for Seymour's son to someday be able to come across the new record. ''I hope he'll hear it when he grows up, if he ever wants to know the story, to hear the truth,'' Rose says." DrunkenNights said: "but Mr Rose is very stupid to think that the original lineup will run and enter to a music shop JUST to buy the chinese democracy album, those guys wouldn't spend one second to hear its songs(which are for sure full of insults to them ....)" I don't think Axl ever thought that the original lineup would run to a store just to buy the album. That's ridiculous! But we do know that at least Slash and Duff have heard the album and they both thought it was great.
