Slash is going out and having a good time. He doesn't worry about whats "Cool" and "not cool" and who he "should" and "shouldn't" play with. Slash IS cool, the man is the definition of it. i'd rather have Slash's lifestyle of playing with as many young artists as possible and having a great time then sit in my house making an album for 14 years and then go back to sitting in my house.

+ isnt it kinda getting old to think that axl has only sitted in his fucking house writing Chinese Democracy  I mean come on. The only reason why he hasnt showed his face is just because the media and 90% people always have to bash him for some fucking reason.
and if you really want to get deep we could also think is it really that fun to hang out with a fucking junkie who aint THAT good singer and release two mediocre cd's and then go out and do a commerciel for VW to get some drinking money and then throw a gig with annoying chick who has "made it to the top" only by showing out her tits and ass and play a song that you didnt even like when you wrote it and you only started to like it 'cos you noticed that your fans like it???

I don't call Slash whore...And I have no problem with him playing with Fergie. She's got a good voice and is a little sexy. But Ronnie Wood who? Oh ya the rhythm guitarist from the Stones. Ronnie isn't nearly as famous as MICK JAGGER and KEITH RICHARDS. But this is beside the point. Slash was a great guitarist now everything is boring. He can play with who wants as far as I am concerned, I just want him to start making good music again.

well if you got the choice would you rather live your life to its fullest, have a whale of a time playing with varied artists and having the time of your life, marry a girl, have 2 kids and still do what you love, have some great memories from other bands, tour, record, be in a freakin video game for gods sake. or you can spend 14 years making one album, be remembered for the flops of tours and gigs then end it early in 02, then have the album you did spend so much time on practically flop because you don't market it.

to be honest I'd make the album.. I think this album meant (and still means ) pretty much everything for Axl. It was his "thing". And I'm glad that he did it just for himself, you can hear the album is clearly about Axls life. the album is true and I gotta say it's the kinda music that I enjoy most. it's just not music it's beyond that..it's something bigger. but what slash does doesnt seem to mean that much for him,, he does it to have "some fun" . He does these projects that come and go but he never does anything that shows us the true slash. And I personally wouldnt want to do just some random stuff I'd want to do something great not just hang around.
maybe "hanging around" is what slash thinks as his goal in life but to be honest.. that doesnt sound too good to me   


and to glarify.. I like slash n' VR .. the point of the junkie singer and the other stuff was there just because I hate how everyone says all this crazy stuff about axl how he lived in a cave n' had salt around him and some frogs legs hanging on the walls while he wrote album over 10 years.

Slash is one of my idols because relative of what he does for a living, he can still hold down a great family life and he isn't so far up his ass. hes a down to earth guy with down to earth ambitions. he wants to enjoy life whilst he can and i think thats something that being in Gn'R and hitting rock bottom really showed him. you can either spend life trying to be perfect or you can just have the time of your life and just enjoy what you're given. its up to you how you spend it. Slash and Axl obviously differ on their opinions, just like you and i seem to. fact is, Slash is no more a "whore" or "sell out" than Axl is. he just wants to make the most of what he has.
