RB2 CD Moggs/Troubleshooting

Gunns they are .mogg files.

I spent quite a long time looking for tutorials or at least some idea of how it could be done but couldn't find anything. Though it can't be that hard, the files have to be stored on the disc (or hard drive in this case) somewhere, it must just be a case of finding them then extracting them into Audacity or something.

If I can be any help feel free to hit me up.

Exactally correct. Once you have the ogg file simply drag and drop them into Audacity, the file whll then be seperated into each individual track, just like SR was.

Getting the multitracks doesn't seem to hard.  If you have the .mogg files, you can use Arktool to decrypt them:

Seems like the author doesn't want us to use his program anymore, however.

EDIT: After hours of searching, I finally got Arktools v7.0...it supposedly works with Rock Band 2.

It obviously can still be done.  There are people on this forum that split the tracks all the time, we just need someone there to do it for CD:

Can't arktools v7 bypass the encryption?

I've looked on echoing the sound, and they seem to be pissed off with 'Can I has Chineez?' posts. "We'll get round to it" seems to be the message and they have done a load of GH:Metallica multi-tracks.

If it's one thing Guns fans know it's patience.

Or if anyone has the files on their computer send them to me and I'll see what I can do with Arktools.
