that's fine, though i think you'll find a good number of A7X fans on these boards.

You know what? my problem with slash started after reading his Autobiography and the lies he wrote in that book about Axl Rose. and everyone knows why. (just let me know if you have no Idea about lies in his book and we'll discuss on it)

Also artistically these people are not what Slash deserved to work after all these years.

I know some people reply to my comments with things like "do you think new members are fit with GNR and Axl after all these year?"

I say yes, because they're all genius and their previous work results and experience proves it. NIN guitarist, Replacement Bassist, Aenima Album keyboard player Chris Pitman, Ron Thal, Monster Buckethead... is it enough or shall I need to mention more?

you all know that all those mentioned above works are pure Rock (both modern and traditional).

but what about slash? who's Fergie? Avenged seven fools? that he says he's proud to work with them? wasn't it better for him to work with the old schools like Ozzy, Alice or whatever nearer to his own style (the style that he insist he won't leave it)?

All I'm saying is Slash is not what he used to be. both characteristically and Artistically. Of Course Axl is still the same Axl of the 80s and 90s. you know why? he's still that fucking pain in the ass paranoia or whatever you wanna call him and also combining his traditional GNR style in a modern way and introducing his new incarnation in a decent work called "Chinese Democracy".

Axl Rose always makes something new and fresh with a selection of brilliant musician but also doesn't allow others interferences ruin his style. I wonder what Chinese Democracy could sound if he would allow Fergie to sing on it.

truth is the truth hurts, won't you agree?

How is Axl trying new styles of music any different to Slash trying new artists to work with!?
Slash is just, as you said with Axl, combining his traditional style with new artists.
All I see is you picking every little thing to hate Slash for, its more pathetic than people calling this band "Guns N Roses"

this is obvious that Slash wants to stick in the past. however I'm not saying it's not a good idea to stick to your own style and make some fresh things that are not like the previous works. So I don't have any problems with him sticking to his signature traditional style. but at least in my own opinion I didn't see anything so much special coming from Slash after his departure from GN'R except "It's Five O'clock Somewhere" which was from 95 (and I know the official departure was '96 but we all know that that actually happened way before 96).

anyways you're saying that he's combining his art with others to make something new. Ok this is a very good thing. and you didn't read my post carefully. because I wrote:

but what about slash? who's Fergie? Avenged seven fools? that he says he's proud to work with them? wasn't it better for him to work with the old schools like Ozzy, Alice or whatever nearer to his own style (the style that he insist he won't leave it)?

this means the man is ruining his career by collaborating with these Billion Dollar Baby rich non-brain non-real-musicians commercially successful thanks to blind teenage fanbase that are around 13 14 years old.

and like I said Slash deserves more than this after all these years. but he's selling his soul. I'm not hating him because who am I to hate one of the guitar Icons of our era?

yes Chinese D took so ridiculous long time but one of the main reasons was just to prevent the damage to the "Guns N' Roses" name itself.

that was just because fans like us could be able to proudly put the new album beside the past official albums of the band and make an album comparable to AFD itself or any other great GN'R collection.

after all, this is a peaceful discussion and above said was just an opinion from a fan. I hope you understand this and continue your debate.

Alix it took so long for me to know you and stop thinking that you're another "DrunkenKnights".

I'm tired of source this source that thing. but you know what I'm talking about. it was more than just St. Louis case.

I have no problem with Slash playing with anyone. These guys are highly overrated. Over the top drumming is shit, if that guy could take it easy the band might be alright. Gates should stick to easy riffs as the hard ones are just to annoying and it sounds like he is just showing off. Betrayed was a good riff. Right now the only member in the band that I find is pretty good is Shadows.

And now we should see how shitty this turns out.

but you can't prove anything else.

and with all honesty i don't believe for one second that Slash is being honest when he talks about Axl but then again i don't think believe for half second that Axl is being honest when he talks about Slash. so it's both ways for me.

All bullshit aside, that was a decent effort by A7X and Slash was excellent. It's hard to tell what's under that hat but his hair looked thicker too.

think again... we've made polls these isn't as many as you'd like to think.

personally ive never seen one of these poles (im sure though that as you say, they exist, i just dont frequent the poles section) - so that alone suggests say, i dunno, 10 A7X fans didnt vote in the poles? That would be quite significant a number considdering there isnt exactly a million member on here... i dont think that your comment regarding that really strengthens your point, but i'll take it anyway.

Furthermore, i dont "like to think" there are loads of A7X fans on this board, im not bothered, im basing it on things ive seen/read. Not much other thoughts on the matter tbh. Also, A7X's last album is killer - big production, orchestral stuff, experimental, good melodies... im not a fan of their heavier/earlier stuff - infact, when i saw them open for Guns in 06 at Hammersmith, i had no interest in them other than Seize the Day, which wasnt in their set unfortunatley.

their self titled record is the only record i can think of that comes close to ChiDem in terms of both quality and production/modern styles... though CD wipes the floor with it of course! :D

Left this message for him on Facebook. Doubt he saw, but I tried.

Slash, stop playing with mediocre acts and start making a good album. The last real good one you did was 5 O'Clock Somewhere. I have high hopes on the solo album though. Let's see you lay some killer riffs on the new VR album too. Go GNR style, remember the riffs you have wrote in the past, Jungle, Estranged, Rocket Queen, Coma, Locomotive. Get inspired and make your next few releases better than the past 3 or 4.

I say that with a lot of respect. Not bashing, just trying to inspire
