Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad unleashed a verbal attack on Israel Monday at a UN conference on racism, triggering a dramatic mass walkout.

Amid the general chaos in Geneva, French student protesters wearing rainbow clown wigs threw red rubber noses at the Iranian leader.

Ahmadinejad has been sending signals he might be open to a thaw in relations with Washington, but he reignited old tensions by again denying the Holocaust and calling Israelis "the paragon of racism."

"Following World War II, they resorted to military aggression to make an entire nation homeless, on the pretext of Jewish sufferings and the ambiguous and dubious question of the Holocaust," he said.

Western diplomats walk out during the speech of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at the UN Racism conference.

"So long as Zionist domination continues, many countries, governments and nations will never be able to enjoy freedom, independence and security. As long as they are at the helm of power, justice will never prevail."

As he spoke, members of the French Union of Jewish Students dressed as clowns jeered and yelled "racist!"

Delegates from 23 European nations rose with dignity and filed out of the hall. The diplomats pointedly passed his podium on the way out.

Nine countries, including the United States and Israel, boycotted the conference.

The State Department called his language "vile" and said if Ahmadinejad wants talks with Washington to go forward, he needs to put a sock in it.

"We want to have a direct dialogue with Iran, but Iran needs to do a number of things to get back in the overall good graces of the international community," said State Department spokesman Robert Wood.

"If Iran wants a different relationship with the international community, it has to stop this horrible rhetoric."

Ahmadinejad's predictable outburst is why America's first black President skipped the conference on racism, the White House said.

"This is hateful rhetoric. It's one of the reasons why you saw the administration and the President determined that its participation in this conference was not a wise thing to do," said White House spokesman Robert Gibbs.

Tensions between the U.S. and Iran grew more complicated last week, when American journalist Roxana Saberi was sentenced to eight years in prison on espionage charges.

The Obama administration says she's innocent and urged Iran to free her.

Ahmadinejad appeared to try to help Saberi, a former Miss North Dakota, taking the unusual step of publicly ordering the prosecutor to ensure Saberi gets a fair appeal.

Iran's judiciary ordered an immediate appeal Monday and said it would be heard "fairly and quickly."

Note: I don't support Ahmadinejad's speech and or those who clapped in the conference.

the president's point of view is not 100% supported by the Iranian people and I'm truly sorry for our president's non-sense.

What a tosser. This isn't freaking Speakers Corner, he is an official head of state and should watch what flies out of his pie hole for the sake of being taken seriously at all.

Although, I don't fully agree on the founding on Israel, but there are other ways of putting it out there. I am pro Palestine, but not fully anti Israel.

When he came to the United States, I watched videos of his speaches at a college. I must say that the man can come off charismatic to those who are willing to listen, and he is an excellent speaker. But I do not agree with what he says. And this really disgusted me. I have never been a supporter of his, but I have always listened to what he has said in hopes to see his side of things, because it is impossible to truly solve something unless you can understand the other side.

He just spoke out of pure hatred. And I find something funny. He says that he wants the end of Israel, yet he calls them racist? Hypocrite.

Anyways, you get my point, right? Long story short, I was disgusted by this.

1a - Israel is not a race.
1b - The International community has been actually - meaning not only in speeches - making sure that Palestine does not exist.
2 - Why should Iran behave and  cooperate when the Western Coalition is treating them as "Evil" ?
3 - There are election soon in Iran, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is on political campaign. Do you want to hear what Dick Cheney has recently said about Torture?

©GnrPersia, one question, if Iranian people do not agree with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad words, what do they think about Israel ?

Israel is indeed a racist state -
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/884358.html
It is simply written in its definition : Israel, a Jewish State.
How'd d'ya like it if Italy was a "country for the white people", or USA a country "for Scientologists" ? Thank you.
Feel free to investigate on the rights of Israeli arabs, if they can buy land that easily, their political rights and so on ... investigate. In Israel, if you're not jewish, you're a second class citizen.

Quote
Haim Cohen, a former judge of the Supreme Court of Israel stated:  "The bitter irony of fate decreed that the same biological and racist argument extended by the Nazis, and which inspired the inflammatory laws of Nuremberg, serve as the basis for the official definition of Jewishness in the bosom of the state of Israel" (quoted in Joseph Badi, Fundamental Laws of the State of Israel NY, 1960, P.156)

So, alright, Iran has a lot of internal issues (which country does not?).
It seems that, if you're not part of the Winners (America, France ... the white people), you just really have to be very clean, pure and angelic to even dare say a word. America can actually f*ck up the world, meaning they actually DO it, but Iran has to clean its shit before even daring to speak up.

Iran is not clean, Syria is not clean, nobody is.
But why should not their words matter?
Iran's president words make a bigger fuss than engaging in an actual war.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speaks, he is one of the apocalypse rider.
America stack up massive destruction armies around the Gulf, we stand and watch.

What kind of a world do we live in ?
