mainly because pork was already my least favorite.

also pigs are more filthy animals than cows, since they will eat literally anything, including excrement, urine, maggots and even cancerous tumors from other pigs, and dead rotting flesh. pigs dont sweat, and therefore have more toxins in their body, and pork is digested much faster than other meats (about half the time) so those toxins are hitting your liver more rapidly and in higher amounts causing you to not process them as well. plus pork contais a higher percentage of fat than beef

well this is largely information that I've just come to obtain throughout my life through verius means. But I did manage to find some sources for you to check out that support my theory.  If you look at pigs on wikipedia, it is documented there about their lack of functional sweat glands and how their bodies contain more toxins as a result. and the fact that pigs can contract and  transfer more "human" diseases than other animals such as influenza, ebola and even bronchitis and transfer it to humans. as well as an unusually large number of parasites that can be transfered to humans when compared to other aniumals.

Aside form that you can observe for yourself or ask anyone who owns pigs about their horrid eating habits. I saw a special on hbo about the horrors of pig farming and slaughtering which shoed footage of pigs eating their dead breathren, eating feces and rolling around in it on a constant basis.

Every time I semi-consider to go back to eating meat(after 4-5yrs as a vegetarian), something just comes in the way. If I ever touch dead animals again I plan on making sure they were treated well, free of growth hormones/sex hormones and that they were fed proper healthy food throughout their lives. So.. basically I would have to pay like 50 bucks a chicken.

I'll stick to my hummus, veggies and occasional fishhh. Besides, I love being vegetarian, I just had the best vegan sushi tonight.

If what you say is a fact...that is gross. But look at the bright side, you might build up a stronger resistance to bacteria and shit when you take this in, you can go to Mexico without getting the runs, because your stomach is used to breaking down insane amounts of bacteria already.

Meh, would be kinda difficult to avoid, unless you plan on keeping your pigs in airtight decontamination chambers all their lives with no possibility of them ever meeting a fly.  In Sardinia they sell cheese with live maggots in it, apparently they're a big part of the appeal of the stuff.
