The guitar work on CD is the greatest guitar work I have ever heard but I do have a question.

On sorry the first solo. One of the first sustained not it makes a wierd noise. Hard to explain. Id love to know how its done as I hope to incorporate it into my own solos how do they do it??
Finally back on the internet!!!!

I am late to this thread but just to say my piece, I gotta go with Robin Finks solo on This I love, it is one of my favorite of all time.  The feeling in those notes is simply amazing to me.  It may not be the most talented solo on the album but I seem to remember a guitarist who played with this band who didnt have all the talent in the world but he always brought the feeling.

That being said,  I am glad to have this album in my hands, as I never thought it would happen.  I love the new guys and I am really looking forward to seeing GNR on tour with DJ Ashba.

Thanx to whoever took the time to decipher the linear notes and answer the original question here.

Man, i always thought Buckethead did the Shackler's Revenge riffs, it seems like more of him.
The industrial tapping and etc. Anyway. Good one, RT!

Buckethead left the band because he does not wish to be masively famouse or benifit from large amounts of money. Hence the quiet life he leeds out of the public eye and the caricature descise he invented. He is such an amazing player that if he was to stay in guns n roses he would of been famouse beyond his belife. He will how ever return for studio work in the future if the mood takes him.
