Why has modern rock radio in North America shut Axl and Chinese Democracy out? Do you think they are in cahoots with the record company and the tour promoters to force Axl into a reunion because they know they can make more money off him that way? I just think it's fucked that Axl's been shut out like this. He's got obvious hit songs like Better and ITW that would be getting played on radio if anybody else had released them. I was the first to say that Chinese Democracy (the song) was a fucking crap song to release as a first single but I fail to see why Axl's been shut out since then. I'm ready to phone in a bomb threat if they don't start playing the album, LOL. It really fucking disgusts me.

Yes. I beleive there is a conspiraracy against Axl. Better and ITW are too good and mainstream to be not getting airplay.

I agree that they were treated unfairly, but most modern rock stations seem to have their own grudge against GNR. Most DJ's like emo, grunge, alternative, and some other whatever it is at the moment.

I think its time gnr hit the classic rock stations, thats the only way you hear any good music these days.  I've heard nirvana and acdc on 1029 philly, why not throw some ol guns in.

If Chinese Democracy actually really had any hit songs then maybe it would be played on the radio (don't confuse me with a hater, I love the album, but I can also recognise that commercially its not the most appealing)

  It could be, people will like what you tell them to like.  If he woulda put this out in 92 it would have still been huge, and people would like it because everybody still loves guns at the time.

DJ's have always hated Rose, even during his prime. With out the old band he will never get a fair shake of it. Not from the DJs or media. I remember reading a review of one of his concerts where the writer complained about them being too good. Said old GnR had a more sloppy, drunk vibe to them. Just ridiculous. Can't win either way.

Clear Channel and the like have decided to cut New GNR off.

Along with any of other form of original or inspiring music.

On topic, Im sure if Axl had played ball the record company would have paid to shove CD down the throat of everyone.

Axl doesn't even care enough to promote the shit on shows which is what most bands will do. He didn't do anything but hand the CD over to the bigwigs himself then go into hiding.

Music is art but beyond that its a business and Axl's ego seems to stop him from doing business.

And maybe thats alright. Maybe thats how the dude wants it.

I don't see why FANS want to shove this album down everyones throat.
It failed. Enjoy it for yourselves and wait for the tour which is the only thing a fan of this brand can do.
