I'd like to make a complation cd of audio of the ChinDem songs performed live, any suggestions of best perfomances, links, vids, all media or input welcome

Madagascar - I heard this song for the first time from the performance on the VMA awards 2002 and honestly liked how it sounded so that's definately my fave live Madagascar

For Better, I don't have the links at this moment but the Gibson Amphitheatre in December 2006, or L.A. CA. like the I.R.S. video ina_s posted, and Madagascar were pretty good. Then their are KROQ and a few others that escape my mind. Hope that helped!

As for Street Of Dreams, definitely L.A. December 2006. And no matter what song, you will always be wrong if you stuff there anything from 2001/02 era. Especially Rio...

psh please, the blues 02 was the definitive version of the song.  and chi dem live in 02 was always a treat cause bucket always played a diff solo!

Street Of Dreams is great mainly because of the rasp in Axl's voice - listen to the CD version. And Axl didn't have that rasp almost at all in 2002.
And yes, Bucket was great, but that's perhaps the only advantage of '02...

fair enough, axl's vocals were weak in 02, but musically, the song sounded better.
