So what the future holds for us GNR fans?
« on: October 18, 2009, 12:11:22 PM »
Ok we have reached November, this year was blank in terms of music videos about CD, tour, Promotion and you know the rest. I was wounder while a was grabing my copy of CD in my hands and  listen to it ,in my room....that, its almost a year since chinese was released, and nothing happends  after that, we dont have any comunications at all with our so called ¨band¨ in terms of the web site wich oficially sucks ass.... all the news weve got is Dj is with GNR and all that pointless crap.

My Question is simple, do you trully beleive that are we going to listen to new songs in the near future? new album maybe? or this was the end of Axl, maybe the guy is done in music, maybe hes just want to live do some other things,,, cause at one point when they hired DJ, we all thought a tour was coming at that time..,.,,and didnt happend ofcourse..... now its looks that they are going to be some several presentation in strange countries (no desrespect) but strange anyway....

so what are we looking here...or we just have this forum just for chatting now or for telling how our lives are going.....lol

I wouldn't expect another album anytime soon. To expect or hope for that is ludicrous.

I want to see what happens after this tour is over.

Well I still believe in the theory that the next album will come out next year and the third one in 2012. I won't be dissapointed if that doesn't happen though. I think that if there will be delays (which isn't very far fetched) they won't be very long delays. A year at most.

However if the next album won't be released before 2012 I will be VERY pissed off at GNR. After all the reason why I'm not disappointed with Chinese Democracy is cause I know we'll get more music in the near future.

Anyway so far GNR hasn't let me down. Well obviously I was expecting more interviews and a music video, but in a way it makes sense that they didn't want to promote the album more than they did. Because When Chinese Democracy was released a really succesfull comeback would not have been mathematically possible. And here's why:

People can be separated in three groups: new GNR fans, new GNR haters and the neutral ones. The biggest group by far are the neutral ones, the second biggest is the haters club and we fans are the minority. The more there's hype around new GNR. the louder the haters will be. And the louder the haters are, the more neutral people will be brainwashed into haters. So basically the more there would have been hype around Chinese Democracy, the bigger percent of the neutral people would have become haters.

But now because there hasn't been much hype. the haters don't feel that they must preach everywhere how much the new GNR sucks. So when the neutral people find youtube videos of new GNR, they aren't filled with negative comments, but positive. Therefore there's a bigger chance that neutral people will become fans of new GNR.

Now GNR is getting more fans SLOWLY but surely. And perhaps when some day the group of new GNR fans is as big (or bigger) as the group of new GNR haters...then Guns N' Roses will make the real comeback with massive promotion! When it's a mathematical probability that it will succeed.

Haha! What do you think about that theory??? :D

Haha.. :) I must admit there might be something to it :)
But actually there's 4 groups, not 3. The one you forgot is the group of old fans that still loves them :) Who has followed them since back in the days and also loves the new GNR :) I know I'm one of them =)

But I really hoped that we'd se a Better-video this year, too bad that never came.
Didn't Axl mention something about a video "soon" back in the beginning of 2009? :)

One thing that I have learned being a true GNR fan is that Axl always does his things his way. And in some way he always has a reason for it.
So knowing this, I'm not surprised about his silence.
Maybe he just likes to be careful with what he says or do.. because in the days people really had the wrong idea about him.
Or maybe he's just a man getting older and changes his priorities in life or i don't know..
But it seems that he finds his peace in solitude.

I can relate to that last part and I'll just say:

Axl, whenever you're ready, we'll be here.

The biggest group is the old fans who don't agree with Axl calling his solo band, Guns N' Roses. If he reunited the old band this would become pretty obvious.

I sadly notice that it might be a final chance to see GNR toruin around!...maybe i'm wrong but today the rock stars can't get paid by us easily like they did yesterday!

....the only way that Mr Rose has to feed his band it's tour here n' there quickly! but the question is NEW GNR will ?  :?:

...I hope so!

I agree it could well be the last chance to see GNR touring depending on future situations and how long this tour lasts for will be a bit of an indicator.

I'm impatient for the next album already, but a music video would totally tide me over for at least a year. That would freak me the fuck out.

Anyway, if they have as many songs as I've heard, damn it could take a long time to narrow all those down. And Axl isn't known for his expedience. ChiDem didn't even come out that long ago... some band take at least 3 years....

Idk :/
As long as this road seems, I know it's called the Street of Dreams.

If all goes well I'd guess they'll follow the usual band thing of tour, album, tour. So the 09/10 tour in support of Chinese Democracy, CD II and then a tour in support of CD II.

Although that's being really optimistic. Every time they tour it seems like it could be the last time to see them (which is why I was very upset when I couldn't see them in '06). There seems to be a lot of unreleased material which I hope will surface in the near future.

If all doesn't go well it'll be 09/10 tour and then silence from the band for ages. And the whole Chinese Democracy scenario will kick in again.

Who gives a fuck about GN'R fans, i mean really... But I think GNR will court fans ok over the next 2 years. They'll release more stuff halfway through touring the world. Axl said 2010 for the next one, right? So that, then the inevitable big US tour. Then a break, then who knows.

It was like with appetite and  use your illusion 1 & 2 axls intention was to sell the album off the back of a tour, People see how good he / the band are live, tell there freinds look at reviews etc etc and the album rockets in sales.

As far as 'what does the future hold'. I expect we will be plesantly supprised.
