I wish Michael Hutchence was still around. He could've been immense.

Overrated-  M. Shadows(Avenged Sevenfold),Dexter Holland ( Offspring), Bob Dylan ( yes i went there) lol

Underrated- Mark Melicia ( The Parlor Mob),Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance),The Greatly missed Shannon Hoon, Chris Cornell, and i would have to say Baz is under appreciated with his abilities as well !

If you guys haven't heard of the Parlor Mob, check them out they are pretty damn good band that alot of people don't know about !!

Overrated.... Jon Bon Jovi (although his range was awesome in his younger days)

Underrated.... Shannon Hoon, Bach...

and Freddie IS the best. just awesome - flawless live, terrific range, tone, technique, power.... everything.

Didn't rolling stone magazine list him in the top 10 out of 100? :paranoid:
I think it was the issue that had Chinese Democracy review in it!

Kinda.

Bono said it. Therefore it can be ignored.

Seriously though folks; bob is included in that list for his influence rather than his ability. His influence is undoubted, his ability - as a singer - is very average.

Over-rated: I absolutely have to agree with freddie mercury. looking explicitly at voice he is decent enough, but nothing to writ home to mom about. if you thro in influence, lyrics, originality, song-writing... etc he isn't even close. gay people get looked at as better than they are, because they gothrough such a struggle, as do those with disease and those who die early... he had all three of thos factors going for him so yeah he's gonna be over-rated by defauly. kurt cobain is over-rated, because he died young, and suffered from depression. if he was also gay and had aids, he'd be off the charts and considered the best of all time too. basically the more sympathy you get from people, the more they will praise you. the cold hard truth is queen doesn't really have very many good songs in their catelogue at all. maybe 2 songs that could be considered great... and 2 more that are good. the rest are mediocre to poor.
And vince neil has one of the most horrible, annoying voices of all time. as do bret michaels, stephen pearcy, bruce dickinson, rob halford, sebastian  bach and glen danzig. all horrible filth

anyways as far as under-rated... shannon hoon for sure, also john popper was an incredible vocalist. Randy blythe from lamb of god. m. shadows especially on waking the fallen, that album has some of the most amazing vocals ever. phil anselmo, maynard, .

the most undrrated   has to be Mike Patton!! he has the most range of anyone ever, i mean he can lterally make his voice soound any way he wants to and sound amazing while doing it. he has the art rock voice down, he can death growl, he can scream like a fucking stuck pig in heaven on good heroin..... ha can croon like frank sinatra and then he can also do the quintssentially lame 80's hair metal vince neil voice if he wwants too( let's hope he never does again  :D).
anyway although some people do regard him as the best rock vocalist ever... he's still under-rated becaus everyone who likes rock music should put him at the top of the list.
~ No thank you. I'll proceed directly to the intravenous injection of hard drugs please.~

Over-rated - every single one of those fucking rap stars, and Katy Perry

Under-rated - Axl Rose, Taylor Swift (her voice actually ROCKS), and George Harrison doesn't get as much vocal credit as he deserves IMO

Bull fucking shit. Freddie is considered great because that's what he was, great. Had nothing to do with his sexuality or his fucking disease. He is the GOAT.

And only 2 good songs? lol have a day off.
