mine are:

underrated: Shannon Hoon. the only Blind Melon song i used to listen to was No Rain but then i found my dad's copy of Blind Melon self titled album and i've been raping that entire album. the vocals are just awesome. Dear Ol' Dad, Deserted, Drive, ah fuck it it's all amazing. and Soup is fucking ace too. i just don't get why he (being dead n' all) doesn't get more love. most of the time deam musicians get overrated but Shannon just got forgotten.
overrated: Freddie Mercury. i mean he's good no doubt but he's far from being the best of the best. heck he isn't even in the top 20 in my opinion.

I preferred Motley with Jon Corabi. I thinks his voice is outstanding. Very underrated.

i'm not sure. but i like Ozzy (on records), Plant, Gillan, Shannon Hoon, Axl Rose, Eddie Vedder, Brian Johnson, Bon Scott, Bruce Dickinson, Eric Dover and whole bunch of others better. being the best or the worst is an opinion thingie and Freddie isn't even on my top 20.

sorry dude, when it comes to judging whether a pop rock singer is under or over rated, pretty much everything is opinion.  there's no stat book with the list of accomplishments vs. list of fan/ non-fan opinions

 i think he's good. brilliant actually... just not as good as he get's credited for.
