List 5 bands you never got into their sound!

Ok so i did this thread to know which band actually comes up more times..
List the 5 bands you never could get into their sound and always thought they were boring!
Don't be afraid to list rock giants. heres mine:

1. Red Hot Chilli Peppers
2. Depeche Mode
3. Pearl Jam
4. Jane's Addiction
5. Muse


Red Hot Chilli Peppers - On this one i actually like the singles.... but the rest of the cd is usually very boring, and the songs have too much bass... too much groove for a rock band in my opinion, and i never really got into their sound. Like 1 song or 2 but you would never see me in their show!

Depeche Mode - Ok... im gonna say this and probably hurt a lot of minds here... but for me.. this band is utter crap! Don't like any of their songs and think this band totally sucks!

Pearl Jam - Again, like Red Hot... i like some songs... usually 1 or 2 from each cd... but the res of the cd is usually crappy... I could never understand this band... Their sound just doesn't stick in my head.

Jane's Addiction - Again like Depeche Mode... I was actually really curious about this band, since i started to check out Dave Navarro stuff, when he did the guitars for Oh My God.
I ended up not being a fan of this band, or Navarro himself... I don't see anything special in this band.. i think the vocals on every song pretty much suck hard and the guitars don't add anything to it.

Muse - I actually saw these guys live in 2004. I sorta liked the show and then went to see their cds. Its another one of those bands which the sound to me doesn't make sense in my head...The only thing good about it are the singles, and still i get tired of them really fast... I can't even see this band as a rock band to be honest.


Now i understand im gonna piss a lot of fans of these bands that come to this forum... however no offense... this is just the thread we need, so we can piss off on the bands we dislike... Express your opinion, and kick your 5 crappy bands in their ass!

The Eagles - I imagine being submerged in a warm vat of formaldehyde feels pretty similar to being forced to listen to an Eagles album.  I would literally rather amputate a toe than sit in a room while they're playing.

Slayer - I just can't help thinking how incredibly bored I am while listening to them.  I almost understand why people in the pit would rather punch one another than focus on the music.

Bruce Springsteen - I wish I could like Bruce, I really do, in fact sometimes I even consider just pretending to like him because all the cool kids seem to love him these days, I can't bring myself to do it.  Dunno why.

U2 - In all honesty I kinda want to vomit whenever I think about U2.

The Cult - I don't really understand the point of The Cult, or what I'm meant to find interesting about them.

i take your point about a whole album. many a childhood car trip had the eagles greatest hits as a soundtrack and it was numbing, however individual songs are very well put together. i'd argue much of their work is in with ABBA and the beach boys and the beatles; ie even if you dont like it then it is well put together music. worthy of respect, if not something you like.

From your list i'll steal,

The Boss. Just dont get the appeal. Obviously i get the appeal; apparently he's this cool, working class hero who writes these amazing song. But i find him kinda naff. I find the whole working class hero thing to be a bit gimmicky, and there's nothing in his music to make it stand out. (the way i've written that makes it sound like i dislike bruce. i dont. generally indifferent tbh)

I'll add,

nirvana - i know what you're thinking, "how cliched", right? but stick with it. its not a case of hating their music. or the grunge scene. or what has happened to music since. or his deification since his death. I just can't be arsed with the music. Its not bad i guess. Quiet bit...shouty bit. Simple formula really. I guess its a bit like citizen kane or sergeant pepper's, if you havent experienced life before them you cant appreciate the difference they made. But i was born in 1985; the cunt died when i was 8 or something, as far as im concerned nickelback and nirvana both gave the same to music. (that last bit was a joke)

chilli's - yeah, yeah, yeah. "But flea is tha great bassist eva" being the greatest bassist in the world means you're the best in the world at the shitty instrument most folk never notice. and if he was the greatest you'd hardly notice him for 100 listens, then all of a sudden something would click in your head and you'd appreciate some tasty bass work. not some blaring funky skull fuck - which, i should point out, sounts like 50 other chilli's songs. bassist should either be basically useless (ie, the worst guitarist and forced into bass - see duff/sid) or an introverted genius (too weird to have understood only the singer and guitarist get laid, ie. j.p. jones). plus keidis can't sing.

foo fighters - everything they've ever down merges into one. the fact that they are huge astonishes me. not necesserily terrible music, just really average.

hendrix - i feel awful. i like hendrix. i really like hendrix actually. but i just can't be arsed listening to him. maybe its sort of like the citizen kane/pepper's/nirvana thing, but i'd much rather listen to SRV or slash. i fully expect and deserve to be destroyed for this, but i got sort of stuck at 4, and i plumped for jimi. blast away, but i stand by what i've said.

I feel the same way about The Cult! I think the guy's voice is so gay... 

Slayer... im not even going there... they're too heavy for me... Pointless heavyness to be honest.

I like one or two songs of U2 but the rest pretty much sucks... to me its more pop than rock n'roll... and when u have a guy who fronts a rock n roll band shaking hands with politicians and especially Bush... to me rock n roll ends right there   

I also don't pay much attention to Nirvana... they're crappy really... Their songs are lazy... I guess they were just lucky with all the controversy surrounding them and with the time being... that rock n roll needed a new breathe... but i think they pretty much suck!

Buckethead. - he's talented there can be no doubt about that but whenever i try to listen to one og he's songs i'm thinking "how long is this?"

U2 - i can't fuckin stand Bono. he's a cock. whenever i hear he's voice i want to rip my arm of just to have something to throw at the radio.

Iron Maiden with Blaze Bayley. - can't stand Blaze voice and i think that the songs they made with him were shit

The Smiths- So overrated it makes me sick. Their moronic fans like to say things like "The most important band of all time" and other stupid shit. They have maybe one or two good songs that I can think of...

Muse- They have that annoying riff. Dont like the singers voice either.

Pearl Jam- I cant really think of anything of theirs that I like. To me the best thing they ever did was when they ditched Eddie and became Neil Young's backing band on his Mirror Ball album....

The Smiths: Morrisey simply can not sing, never has been able to, never will be able to.

I was going to put the Smiths at 5 on my list, but I actually kinda love Johnny Marr, so I didn't.  Don't like the band though.

And I also considered using Metallica and Pearl Jam on my 5 as well, it's nice to see plenty of others agree (by the way I really like quite a lot of Pearl Jam songs, but I do think they've made a career out of about 70% filler material)

pretty much nemos list tbh, with an added few.

eg. black sabbath - i love ozzy, and i get what they are all about and stuff, at that's all fine, but i only really like a handful of songs at best...

Kings of Leon - as someone above said, sex on fire is the most fucking annoying thing in existence.

It's not even in their top five best album, it's shitty in my opinion well...

Mine :

-Motley crue : their not that bad, but damn, they shouldn't be consider that iconic, and don't like how all their songs (except somes) turn out to be cheesy

- U2 : never quite get into their sound, find their sound blatant and uninteresting

- Muse : not bad, but not good either

- Kiss : overated band

- Slayer : each songs sound like the same and the guitar solos are not that good (raining blood solo, wth ?)
