As would I, I'm fairly certain they don't exist though.

And, uh, no, the New York Dolls don't suck.  Most bands who wanted to be the New York Dolls sucked, but the Dolls themselves are awesome.  Very awesome in fact.

I still have some faith in humanity seeing as no-one's dared to say David Bowie yet.

Tool - (they're ok but i don't see what the big deal is)
Muse - (see, i know this band aren't bad but the vocals just don't do it for me, some great riffs like 'plug in baby')

I can think fo songwriters better than lennon and mccartney its only cause you are thinking of traditional style they may be very good at not awesome at other items unlike for example beck who has conquered writing incredible songs in many different styles plus using a vast array of instruments and playing them to perfection. david bowie is a better song writer as well.

bands i never got into were beatles, metallica, rhcp, linkin park, i never liked new york dolls much i can tell in that time they were good but their music hasnt aged well at all, Kiss and the cure

OP, the minute I saw this thread, this was the first 3 bands I taught of! Hadn't even clicked on it and they entered my head...

Other two would be The Prodigy and Nirvana
