List 5 bands you never got into their sound!

REM...don't necessarily sound like coldplay but they're every critics darling like coldplay. 

kiss.... never understood why so many damn people sang different songs, plus they're all sort of cheesy to begin with

im not gonna include nickelback, hinder and the like in this, or good charlotte, blink 182 and their babies,  because... yeah that stuff is self-explanatory. no need to mention winger, poison and stuff either...

Iron Maiden! -  I just don't get it. they do have a couple of songs that I can listen to ironically

Motley Crue - once again they have a few songs that are okay as background noise while at work, or in the car with several people talking, but they just have no lyrical substance. Every song is essentialy the same "I'm badass, I fuck girls, I drink beer". nothing to set them apart from the countless 80's glam metal bands that came before/after them. bland and generic bullshit

Pearl Jam - I kind of feel bad for saying it but i tend to agree with most of you guys on pj. they have some good  hits, and a decent overall sound but... i dunno their albums all sound plain and contain a lot of filler

Five Finger Death Punch - another band that I just don't understand their success. throwing some double-bass and a few growls isn't enough to turn another breaking benjamin wannabe band into a hardcore metal band. lyrically, some of the most rediculous bullshit out there right now. they think they are soldiers in the army or something and the tough guy "break your face" stuff comes off as completely cheeseball.

Rush- nothing matters here except that geddy lee's voice is the most annoying thing there is cant possibly get past it to notice any redeeming qualities in the band. plus is there a worse song than tom sawyer?

Oasis- I have tried to like them, just cant do it. The voice just annoys me.

Nirvana- Just never got into any of that grungy stuff. Grohl gets my respect, but the music that band made was just so plain and depressing to me.

The Rolling Stones- Love Angie, but thats about it. Just dont think they have or had much talent.

Radiohead- perfect example of why I do not understand music after like 1995, just think they are boring.

Poison- Just plain fake glam garbage. Bret Micheals is still making money of every rose and tagging some exquisite looking females because of it. Really it just makes me sick with jealousy, haha.


Side note- So weird that a few have mentioned they only like metallica's black album. I love it, but I remember when I could listen to the first 4 start to finish any day of the week. Have you listened to Ride or Master? Fucking awsome shit. I dont think any band has put 5 straight albums together where I could listen to any song off of them and be happy.

agreed. the black album for me is by far the worst metallica album ever recorded. (well... okay maybe load). Justice, Lightning, Death Magnetic,  Master, Killem , reload, St. Anger,  load, black album... in that order. gARAGE is unoriginal so it doesnt count

Another one I gotta thro in is godsmack. i mean what the hell is their huge appeal. Don't get me wrong, I bought the first album when It came out and I can listen to that album every now and again. Moon Baby, Voodoo, Keep away and the like. It was a solid debut but they never evolved, and awake started their decline/rise into the mainstream. They have a few catchy tunes and all but what I don't get is how they've quite literally become one of the biggest rock bands in the world over the last decade.

Deftones were always the best "Nu metal" band imo, the only one I continue to be a fan of
