Bumblefoot: A lot of people ask me for hotel & travel information so they can give us a greeting when we arrive. I appreciate the good intentions and thank you for it, but please understand, I *CAN NOT* give out this kind of information. It wreaks havoc for the other guests at the hotel, for people trying to work, and it's a security risk - if something bad happens, my actions would be part of why it happened. If you happen to find us, cool, but please be considerate of the other hotel guests, the people working hard at the hotels, and the security folks that are trying to keep you guys safe in the process. Gracias! OK, off to play some geetar, see ya's in a few!
... . I grew up w/the preppies n' jocks w/their pink Izod's where Bowie, Cooper, Zeppelin etc. were considered garbage n' when The Cars, The Police, The Clash, The Ramones, The Sex Pistols etc were "gay", whatever....
Umm - not sure what planet he was living on where he thinks people ever thought Bowie and Zepp were "garbage." I've never heard that before. They were legends back in the day and still are today. Have to wonder if maybe Axl was indulging in a few too many chemicals back in the day to remember??? Who knows. *shrugs* ..... Anyway, glad he's having a good tour.

There were ( as there are now) so many different clicks. He's the same generation as me. I know I was across the country in Cali and we would take our bands serious and our favorite bands were great and other's sucked vise versa. He's talking about people that listened to pop music of the time primarily and they considered Zepp etc garbage.
I too am from the same generation as Axl, and I found people worshipped Bowie and Zepp when I was growing up. I didn't see the press or rock fans dissing them at all. *shrugs* ... I guess we all have different experiences. Cheers.
Nice to see I'm not the only "old lady" . I pictured you as younger & mature for your age. Shows we never know...You sign off with "Cheers". It doesn't say where you are from, but that is generally assumed a UK thing. Though not always of course.Maybe it's a cultural difference I wonder? It's still the "Wild West" here in the US - it never left. The way people relate to each other is very territorial and somewhat primal. Well unless there is something that rallies a temporary "oneness".It's a shame the world is like that.
