Guns n Roses are working on live stream !
« on: December 12, 2009, 07:26:05 AM »
The show last night was surreal, sucks for those that weren't there.  From a fan to another, was great.  Was great hearing Tommy sing My Generation, brought the crowd and crew to their feet in joy!

We are working in getting more visuals out to you guys, in real time.  So bare with us while we attempt to move what feels like mountains to get this done.

that sounds real good live streams of every show.
but as Fernando does suggest this might take a while before it's happening

but they are looking into it that's a lot!

thanks Guns N Roses!

Well there are things to consider...

If they do stream em.. they are going to ask some $ for it.. not as much as the whole concert My believe.
But whap happens when the feed dies...(and can't be reopened and people want there money back

They really need to look into this the right way.. so no harm can be done to the fans. and the band for that matter.

What are your current thoughts about Kurt Cobain?

Axl: I said I'm going on ChiDem now and he said whatever & walked away other than that I've been busy.

thanks Guns N Roses!

Why not suggest them to put a console recording of the shows up on there web in mp3 and wav format for 5 or 10 bucks a show as a good alternative for the crappy sound quality bootlegs that will appear soon?
Also they could make a few buck's out of it but most important get the crappy bootlegs out of the way.

Just my 2cents as a sound engineer and most of all fan of Guns N' roses !!!

(ps: good to see you back guys, g'luck !!!)

I think one of the reasons to why this is hard to do is 'cause the record company would surely want some big money from it, don't cha thunk?

I'm not really sure of that, I remember Axl (Dexter) stating that they basically don't have a record deal, universal acts more as a publisher that a record label.
Also I remember Pearl Jam doing this a few years ago before the mp3 ballpark though, they released every show of a tour as official bootlegs.
My main concern is actually the quality of the boots, for the benefits of the listener and the band. On the 2006 tour there were bootlegs so bad that they were not even audible and a waste of time to listen to but were the only ones around.
(like Dublin and some of the UK tapes, just awful)

On the other hand if they decide to stream it audio rips of that will appear anyway.
My opinion is the quality should stay in hands of the GN'R camp for everyone's benefit.

Every consideration aside,
It feels good to know they care about us though and want all the HC fans to enjoy the gig's even if we can't be there.

just my 2cents
