I never rated Matt's Drumming until he played in Velvet revoler i.e. spectacle, illegal i....I prefer Rock n roll drummers! so it's Adler hands down everytime...

After watching Steven Adler in the recent youtube interview I'm compelled to comment on him . The youtube gave me new reasons to admire the guy.

I think he is quite clever at playing along with the 'naive pathetic dreamer victim who got kicked out by his brothers but whom he still loves and wants to get together with again one day' mythology. Good on him - of the remaining 'originals' he has that angle all to himself. Better than how Izzy left, or Slash.
 
I like his buffoonery so i guess he's my favourite (not re drum skills though, although he did drum on AFD! But he's way better than Scrotum).

I have got to like Brain a lot.  but now I personally like Frank better since getting to know his beats. He is a hard hitting drummer with cultural beats that now kick so much ass.

This is an old poll when we didn't really know a lot about Frank.  Lets see if he can catch up?

ah man.....   miss the Brain.   I recant my statement.  I think I like em the same. lol...   I never say somebody is 'better'... shame on me.  I meant to say, more profoundly, that Frank for sure is fitting the current set list better as he is for sure a more heavy hitting drummer that screams rock mixed with those Latin beats and other influences.    Songs like OMG and other more experimental and some of newer songs Brain got that feel.   :D

I'd love a drummer to put up with me playing guitar like that ... in your video.  Do you have any idea what effect bucket uses during that first song towards the end?

Personally as a drummer, without a doubt BRAIN. He was very educated and talented. His skills and the ability to stay in such a presise tempo blows me away.
