Actually Gaga's pretty good live.
Her songs are excellent modern pop songs, not the kind of thing I tend to listen to but still, even I can recognise that.
And she is 'fake' because she has an elaborate stage persona, is she?
That's pretty much 99.9999% of fucking performers.
I doubt KISS sat at home looking like they did on stage.
Hell, since we're on a GnR forum, I very much doubt Axl is in person how he is on stage.
It's not 'fake'.
It's entertainment and expression.

Um it is fake when someone claims to be quirky in real life as well as on stage when its obvious its all an act. She relies on image thats the point. Her "talent" isn't worth talking talking about.

Others do not rely SOLEY on image.

Of course when they are performing on stage they are different to real life because they are showing the particular emotion of the song.

Good live? She can barely hit the notes & just shouts thats not singing. Shes average at best.

I hate what she promotes too. I think thats what rattles me the most, young people act bad enough as it without her influencing them

Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (real name) would, I'm sure act totally differently.
And that's the same for most performers.

She doesn't rely solely on image. She obviously writes catchy songs that appeal to a lot of people. Just because it's not your cup of tea... that doesn't make her terrible.
She's written for Britney, Fergie, Pussycat Dolls... some of the most successful artists in her genre.

I'M NOT A FAN OF THAT GENRE, PARTICULARLY
But I can still recognise her talent.

Her voice is good live, and the stage performance is excellent.

And of course, you come to the real reason you dislike her - she promotes sexuality, and that's a 'bad influence' to the young fans.
Young people act bad enough as it is without her influencing them?
Right, because she is known for actually having her heart stop from doing drugs, she's cheated on everyone she's been with, and basically destroyed her life with substance abuse

Grow up. 'Young people' aren't as influenced by musical artists as you might like to think.

This is my opinion, but I feel its people like her that's what's wrong with the music industry these days. Just throw some tits on a blond, give her a recording contract, write her songs for her, and edit the hell out of the vocals to make them sound ok. This really saddens me because people with real talent get shoved aside because of crap like this. MTV doesn't help either because they promote the hell out of this kind of crap.
