If GN'R released "Spaghetti Incident!?" 2 ...
« on: January 05, 2010, 07:07:06 AM »
If Guns N' Roses were to release a 2nd album of cover versions, what songs would you like to hear? Personally, I've always wanted to hear GN'R cover "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd because musically it clearly influenced "Don't Cry" and I imagine that they could do a sweet version of it. I'd also like to hear Axl do some Elton John - maybe "Rocket Man" as the numerous voices that Elton uses in the song would really suit Axl's vocal style. I'd also like to hear a version of GN'R doing "Imagine" by John Lennon.

What songs would you like to hear GN'R do versions of?

I'd wanna hear a studio version of Whole Lotta Rosie, by AC/DC done by them.

Sailing by Rod Stewart. Sounded great back in 06.

Whole Lotta Rosie by AC/DC would be good too.

Sonic Reducer by The Dead Boys (tommy on vocals, I really liked the cover they did live)

I would really like to hear them cover Zep or Floyd.

Maybe some Aerosmith songs like Dream On or Last Child.

beat me to it, but i would've went with a rocker like dirty little thing.

in general i'm happy with the band just doing covers live. its fun watching them start riffing on something during a jam on a tuesday gig then build it up to the full song by a friday. keep studio work to original music.

Train Kept a Rolling (Aerosmith version)
It Won't Take Long (Rolling Stones)
Fade To Black (Metallica)
If I Could Dream (Elvis Presley)
For Your Love (Yardbirds)
That Ain't My America (Lynyrd Skynard)
We Don't Celebrate Sundays (Hardcore Superstar)
