ahh fuck it !!  "Live and Let Live"

Bottom Line is Slash has a new Solo Album coming out and he is going to promote it anyway that he can
use his friends in the industry to help him sell some extra copies !!!
Whatever , i mean he helped write them songs if he wants to play them he can!  if they are good or whatever that's a different story! :paranoid:
IMO I'm sure all original GnR Fans, or slash friends/fans had the same reaction after the 2002 VMA's
When Axl came out with long corn rows and a Raiders Jersey, and some guys that were dressed like it was Halloween  :D

wtf was that

I mean, I have no problem with Slash playing with whoever, or playing whatever he wants, but that was just terrible.

I won't even start on the solo but, to me, it just seemed so out of place and achieved nothing but me sitting here and going, "wtf is going on"

all around bad

In Slash's defence, he was the best thing about that performance. As messy as that solo was, it would still be electrifying if Axl was stood next to him. I couldn't understand a word Jamie Fuxx was Autotuning.

that would be a damn disgrace. Axl doesn't need to play a monkey on celebrity shows like this one. that's the difference between an artist (or musician, depends on what you like) and a media whore.

He just wants to play. I don't see why everyone hates him for playing. Really if he enjoys it. And Rock N Roll no longer lives and rebellionism really isn't a mid 40's kinda thing. Sorry guys

No, to Bucket!

Other Mods: Don't move this thread. I want it to stay here and for good reason.....

Take a good look here, people. ATTN: This is the difference between Slash and Axl.

Slash makes no bones about appearing next to the puppets and proselytizers for a quick buck.
This isn't rock n' roll, this is isn't rebellion, this is full-on corporate greed, prostitution, and self promotion.

Axl can be a dick no doubt about it and most of the time he does dick-ish things, but at least he has the self-respect
not to suck the tit of yuppie rich fuck American culture whilst jacking off the rednecks over in the midwest.

Or if you prefer... this recent late night debacle, Slash = Jay Leno, the lying, manipulative, scheming fuckbag whose convenient lies
are only swallowed by the weak or the stupid and good old Axl = David Letterman, sure he cheats on his wife and probably beats his
dog but the material he puts out is always top notch and he doesn't care to pretend he's not anything but pissed off when he is.

Good night and good luck! Tip your waitresses especially when you've had one too many mahitos.

-L!

Richard Fortus touring guitarist for Rihanna? I guess thats rock and roll............Let Slash do whatever he wants, he actually wrote that solo so he has the right to play it.

oh dear

noone knows how axl would feel about this cuz you nor me know him, axl said in an interview on this very forum saying you can play anything live.... get over it its no biggy

Trust me I won't lose any sleep, and I aint crying.  I personally cant stand song samples, I think it just shows how talentless people can be  and still get the recognition as a artist.  I mean Puff daddy or whatever they are calling him these days made his entire career off others music.  And they call him a artist, that is something that is hard for me to get over.

God so what Slash performed at the grammys, who cares. There is nothing wrong with an artist trying to get some coverage dammit. Axl performed at mtv in 2002, so does that make him a media whore also?? i mean his practically did the same thing slash did, trying to get a bit of spot light.

On a side note, anyone so Pinks performance? the only good thing about the show

Ironic that he used to play that solo with a red-headed white boy from indiana - now he's playing it with a bunch of rappers over a hip-hop beat.
