He is pretty damn cool... at least he comes over really well in interviews.
I had no idea he'd been a lecturer though. Or that he'd been talking to GN'R as early as 2004.
I often fantasized about having one of my teachers end up in Gnr, that would be a cool story to tell.
As for how he got in the band: Notice how bad management was, BBF basically said Fuck it because how dumb they were. How can old mgmt not find a guitar player for 2 years to play in gnr?
A lot of what he said about the old mgmt are little stories I had fabricated in my head, like he really could not hear the new stuff, etc... That is so weird to me, and it makes the band look kinda bad. How can Robin or Richard not be like "hey dude, I know you're not supposed to hear any of this, but they are assholes and you are our new lead guitarist.. duh? There have been rumors that BBF and Robin never got along, and after reading this I could see why. It seems like that old if I help this guy he might replace me mentality.
