nemo I understand that...    I was using example ...   but I did say individual agenda also aside from group.   I just don't think there is an ideological goal here to justify him to be labelled 'terrorist' anymore than the kid shooting up his school.  If this guy has had an agenda against the IRS with pictures tacked to  his wall with planned attack while he was in his right mind, then maybe. Other than that, I think he was mentally ill first.
What are your current thoughts about Kurt Cobain?

terrorism always works, but usually in favor of our governments who want to control everything about our lives.

Who cares  what its labeled really? And why make a left and right case out of this?

Obviously the dude worked alone, was pushed to the edge and took matters into his own hands. I read his last letter and the only thing he appears to be partial to is communism.

I'm fully behind the dude being frustrated by the blatant corruption in the government which seems to have no end or limits in sights. I nod at him flying his plane into their building in protest of it but he should have done it in the off hours so as not to shed innocent blood with his message.

To me.. terrorism is aiming to killing innocents to get whatever points you want to make across. Using the fear of innocent death to persuade others to appease to what it is you want.

This case seemed to be extremely personal to this guy. I don't think he was trying to inspire fear into anyone.. he was just saying that HE was tired of it and was handling things his way.

In his last letter he made no call to anyone else or any other cause to join him. His problem is shared by a lot of us here in the states but he ended HIS problem his way.

No "glory be to anyone" in this one.

thanks for proving you dont understand what terrorism is.

(oh, and you nod at him for flying a plane into a building? if you are doing anything other than condemning his actions then you're as despicable as anyone who supports the 9/11 terrorists.

If this guy really wanted to send a message he could have hit the main IRS building on the south side of of Ausin.  That place is like a fort, their own police force, and prison style gates all around it..

you seem to have a thought a lot about that. i suppose its all fine and well so long as you haven't renovated your basement into some sort of bunker preparing for the apocolypse.

Please dude..

I said he should have hit the building when it wasn't occupied. In this country we the people sometimes have to slap our government in the face. I don't think this should be an every day occurance or that it should be smiled upon BUT, its understandable.

Like if some dude punched Obama in the face for being a liar and fucking shit up I'd smile at that too.

I'm all about the constitution dude, not processes and word play.

And as usual you seem to want to make more out something I said. The bottom line is (from the pilots perspective) if he wanted to channel all his aggresion towards the IRS there was a much more suitable location.  Instead he picked a building that not only had the IRS, but college classes and other business.

Yes but you shouldn't do it.

Like it would be good if I was a vigilante and cleaned the streets up by killing everyone I know is a drug dealer or whatever but, its just not accepted.

And whats most important is that the dude was an American. Not some piece of shit from another country trying to spark fear in us.

Its a very fine lined situation dude which I don't think you'd get until you too were pushed too far.

Also bare in mind that if you're not American, I doubt you'd understand the power us civilians sometimes feel ( and ARE!) entitled too.

And just to ask it straight up..
Nemo, are you a terrorist sympathizer?
Yes or No dude. No lawyer speak please.

technically the I-Love-The-Flag propaganda we are taught in school in the US is based on a love of terrorism.  Hell, we name our streets after terrorists. we learn about the boston tea party and that they were heroes, the declaration branded all our heroes like ben franklin, jefferson, washington, the adams's etc etc etc as terrorists.  the revolutionary war was a big guerilla war.  so it's not that off base for americans to believe that acts technically considered terrorism are OK as long as it helps us get what we want.
