I think there might be a very good chance. Axl respects Leeds because of the excellent reception he got in 2002.

Download + Sonisphere are full, and GNR will not play unless they headline.

Only problem is that the festival dates they have announced so far are June, and Reading/Leeds is August.

I'll be keeping an eye out though for sure!

The one certainty this year is Blink 182 playing Reading+ Leeds.

According to Metro, My Chemical Romance will make their live return to the UK headlining this summer’s Reading and Leeds festivals.

The newspaper also went on to say that Guns N’ Roses and Blink 182 are also likely to be on the bill.

thats what it says

they're tipped for Leeds as well, jesus christ wouldn't that be incredible!
I've been gone a long time, but I'm glad to say I'm back, because whatever happens in the outside world I'm still a Guns N Roses fan

They'll play both if they sign up.

It's the only one they can play now- surely they wouldnt do European festivals without a stop in the UK?

Reading + Leeds will love GNR, unlike some of the twats at Download.

Arcade Fire, Blink 182, My Chemical Romance, Paramore (although they surely cant be a headliner but are 99% main stage)

keep your eye on efestivals.com on the Reading/Leeds rumours, because theyre ususally quite accurate, especially about a week before tickets.

Theyre still getting new reports so they have no 'almost certain' headliners apart  from Blink 182 who are 99..9%.

Come on Leeds, sign up GNR!!!!

It would be EPIC.

here is the quote
"Guns N' Roses (if the latter does not play Reading & Leeds, which we are almost certain they will). "

Keep the faith!!

This is hotting up!! Usually any band who keeps getting tipped is a STRONG, STROOONG possibility. in 2008 all you heard was Metallica, RATM, and Killers- and they all headlined.

This is looking more promising folks. Any more news I'll drop in this thread =]
