Suggestions to liven up Matt's life?

What should I do to liven up my life and meet new and interesting people?

I'm in a rut and I want to do something interesting.

joking aside, there's a company called vitalise.  its a holiday place for people with disabilities, where you can volunteer.  there are about 5 of them spread around england.  there's usually a really good vibe and it can be a good laugh hanging out with the other volunteers etc.  i don't know where you are, but the one in essex has a london theatre trip every week and occasionally they do a day or so to france apparently.  only problem is, you have to go in week long blocks - you get free board and meals though.  well worth doing if you're bored and you've got the time
