GNR to play Reading Festival? (Now Listed as TBC)
« on: March 18, 2010, 07:05:04 PM »
Appeared on efestivals in the last couple of days. The admin are pretty in the know, and despite seeing a couple of posts a while back ruling out GNR, they've done a U-Turn and posted it on the mainsite. Just a rumour I know, but they're normally on the ball.

Keep an eye on that  :D

I could live with this, lineup should be announced soon, either on Monday or the Monday afterwards....that's usually the score
I've been gone a long time, but I'm glad to say I'm back, because whatever happens in the outside world I'm still a Guns N Roses fan

I can't get the friday off work and I live near Leeds so hope to fuck they play Leeds on a different day. I will be going to at least the Reading show even though it's a long ass drive. Saturday Reading Sunday Leeds would be perfecto.

http://www.metalhammer.co.uk/news/guns-n-roses-for-readingleeds-festival-2010/

Is it just a wild fire rumour are all the various sources’ suggestions on the money?

Blink 182 have long been rumoured for Reading/Leeds 2010, but now it seems that Guns N’ Roses are very likely with many sources citing them to play.

Even London’s free paper, Metro, has said that a Guns N’ Roses performance is likely.

The last time Guns N’ Roses played they brought original guitarist Izzy Stradlin and what with Slash and Duff also out and about will we finally see the reunion we;’ve always wanted. We can but hope…

Well the poster is fake for sure.

But I'll bet anyone $50 that the following are certainties:

Blink 182. Arcade Fire. Paramore.
GUNS N ROSES.

Guns N Roses have to be playing, they're the only band that fits the description from Melvin Benn (the festival organiser) that "one of our headliners are bigger than Jay-Z".

E-Festivals website has had the headliners bang on for the last 2 years, they knew Metallica, RAGE, and Killers were headlining 2008 long before the announcement. They added Radiohead late on last year.

They know- they have sources within the business.

I've gotta go if GNR play!!
