well, aside from the fact, that a remake is really lame, like much of what hollywood does these days...remakes after remakes....some classics should be left alone...

i lately find myself looking for older classics, just because recent movies suck so much....

i dont need apredator remake, no robocop remake,  its all just evidence for the burnout of hollywood, really..

While some classics should be left alone, I'm afraid that Predator doesn't quite fall into the category of classic, or not possible to do a decent reboot of.  In fact, if there's one franchise that deserves something better than the solitary lame ass sequel and subsequent butcherings through the AVP movies it received, then it's Predator.  There's the potential for a great fun action movie in there, and Rodriguez seems like as good a bet as any for the person most likely to do it right.

Tell me, do you think Christopher Nolan should just have 'left Batman alone', lest he sullied the good name of Joel Schumacher after Batman and Robin?

The Predator is an endangered species, in need of help and rehabilitation.  I don't think we should deny it the chance.
