Lima, Mar. 23 (ANDINA).- U.S. hard rock band Guns N’ Roses will arrive tonight in Peru to perform this Thursday at the Monumental Stadium Esplanade. However, the arrival date of lead singer Axl Rose –who will fly his private jet- is still unknown, the press spokesman of the concert organiser company pointed out.
The group of musicians, technicians and producers of the concert will arrive from Argentina at 22:00 pm at the Jorge Chavez international airport.

It is worth mentioning that their recent show in Chile caused all kinds of comments since Axl Rose appeared three hours later. Nevertheless, fans who were -at first- upset, seemed satisfied with the two-and-a-half-hour show.

According to Peru21, after the concert, the singer went straight to his dressing room to decide whether he should fly immediately to Buenos Aires –next stop of his Chinese Democracy tour- or stay a couple of more hours in Santiago.

Despite all predictions, the controversial Rose locked himself in his dressing room to interpret some songs of Elton John and Queen with a piano. Axl played until 5 a.m. of Sunday.

He played by himself in his dressing room on a piano till 5 am ?
What are your current thoughts about Kurt Cobain?

Axl: I said I'm going on ChiDem now and he said whatever & walked away other than that I've been busy.

Guns N' Roses members arrived in Lima, Peru, Axl Rose to arrive today

The mythical hard rock band Guns N’ Roses arrived in Lima last night, being greeted by many fans who packed the international area of the Jorge Chavez Airport in Lima, despite the absence of their polemic frontman, Axl Rose.

The band came to Lima in a commercial flight, along with a technical crew of more than 100 people, reportedly the largest one that has ever come to Peru: however, Axel Rose will arrive today in his private plane.

Band members Richard Fortus, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, DJ Ashba, keyboardists Chris Pitman and Dizzy Reed, bassist Tommy Stinson, drummer Frank Ferrerm and the invited singer Sebastian Bach arrived in Lima for the first time.

Local bands Space Bee and Gaia will be the supporting bands, and the concert is scheduled for tomorrow night (March 25).

The concert organizers reported that seven out of the eleven ticket zones are already sold out, and they expect to sell 100% of the tickets.

Figures that I can finally have a drink and hang out with people for one of the shows and the Peruvian's aren't updating for us.

Saw there was some major flooding in Peru on the news earlier. Hope everyone could get to the show and they can get home safe. Footage showed roads wiped out. It seemed pretty nasty. But the vids we've seen show it's nice where the gig is thankfully.

Crossing fingers for some updates so I'm not stuck just working...   :D

Same here... sitting around hoping for updates... no luck so far. We got so spoiled with all the live streaming and second by second updates from the first concerts in SA. :)

I saw that after. I'd check in the mornings. Now when I can be indulgent...  always Murphy's Law. Good thing I'm Irish so we just go with the flow when that crops up.  :)

Seems that Jarmo kid might start updating. Say's Baz is on now. Lucky kid. Cool we're finally getting something.
